Great place with a wide selection of French-style baked goods. I grew up in Paris so I have something to compare it to, and it was on par with some of the best sit down bakeries there. The owner, Michelle, was greeting everyone at the door and despite a long line, the wait was very manageable even with 3 kids in tow. Food wise, we had a ham and cheese croissant, a chocolate croissant, a cheese croissant, an apple cinnamon muffin, and a raspberry danish, which were all very enjoyable. Quality ingredients, buttery flaky croissants, and flavorful combos all around. The seating arrangement works well for different size groups, with a nice long banquette on the back wall. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of items available for purchase. Personally, I would have liked a bit more cheese inside the cheese croissant, and the lattes we had were a bit disappointing. Maybe I’m used to fresher beans or it was a calibration issue on the espresso maker. Either way, we will make sure to come back and try the rest of...
Read moreMyself and 3 friends had coffee and breakfast on a Tuesday at approximately 11:30am. I will not be returning. I ordered an Americano and an iced Mocha, it took almost 15 minutes, the Mocha was sweet enough to make your teeth tingle and my Americano was not very good at all. The out door tables hadn't been wiped off yet so they were still dirty and wet so we decided to sit inside. We ordered our food, it took almost 30 minutes for us to get it. Each item arrived separately about 5 minutes apart. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese croissant, it was very bland and almost tasteless, most definitely not worth the $9. It should not take 15 minuted to prepare a Nutella Banana Panini but it did and again not worth $9. I think the chef/cook prepared each item of our groups order one at a time. If you enjoy expensive pastries, not so good coffee, and slow service this is probably the...
Read moreTo have a bakery in the Northeast neighborhood is pretty great! Usually on weekend mornings it can be packed, so my suggestion would be taking the pastry to go. The manager was very courteous and would personally participate in bringing food to guests, and was proactive in checking in about the food as well.
Overall I thought the savory dishes were as good as I would expect from a bakery. It was not exuberant but was sufficient in making me enjoy a good experience. As for the viennoiseries, they were very good! Whether one orders a chocolate croissant, a sticky bun-caramel nut, a cinnamon chocolate croissant twist, or a Marguerite danish, they were all hits. I enjoyed their pastry everytime I visited. I wouldn't call them outstanding, but they were satisfying for the local population and definitely...
