Review for Captains, Hook and Fish Restaurant

I recently ordered the Gyro cheese plate from Captains, Hook and Fish, and I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience. The advertisement photo looked enticing, but what I received was far from what was promised.

Upon opening the box, I was greeted with a mountain of fries topped with cheese, and I could barely find the Gyro. It felt like I had ordered a box of cheese fries instead of the Gyro plate I was hoping for. The imbalance in portion sizes was frustrating, as I expected a hearty serving of Gyro to accompany my fries, not just a smattering of meat lost in a sea of potatoes.

I really dislike leaving negative feedback, especially for a local business, but I believe it’s important for the owner to know that the current presentation and portioning do not meet expectations. It might be beneficial to update the photos on the menu to accurately reflect what customers will receive. A little more attention to detail and a more generous serving of the main dish would go a long way in improving the overall experience.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be ordering the Gyro again. I hope this feedback helps in making some...

Food was ok but barely ok. Service was good but the server forgot to put my dessert in the bag. I did not notice it until I got home 20miles away. This is the second time they forgot to give me the dessert I ordered to go. When I got home they did not answer the food for my complaint. Now I have to drive back to Mpls to this store to get the dessert that I ordered last night. I have my receipt and hopefully they will give me my dessert from last night's order. The last time this happened I just forgot about it. Beware, if you order here at Hook's make sure they put your dessert in your take-out bag. Another thing there is all can of trash outside of this location. The owners don't have much pride about the appearance of their business on the outside. The building is stained with graffiti and there are 4 humongous potholes in the parking lot. The Rice St. Location is a much better option, ...

Got food from here last night and got food poisoning, had to call in sick to work today. The staff seemed like they didn't know what they were doing, every time I go here I see different people working.

I asked for hot peppers on my philly steak and the girl working the front said she had them added to the sandwich. After checking my order, she forgot my mozzarella sticks and there were no peppers on my sandwich. When I asked her she said the peppers were on it. I thought maybe they weren't visible under the cheese so I went home, took a few bites and no hot peppers. None. After a minute I felt stomach pain and had to run to use the bathroom.

They didn't even ask if we wanted the white seasoning, they just doused everything in it and gave it to us like that. Bunch of potatoes...
