We went on opening night, and we had a great time! We've lived in the neighborhood long enough to have seen this location go through about 500 restaurants, so we've got a lot to compare it to.
Vibes: the restaurant is an odd shape, and they did a great job maximizing table space and making it cute and comfy. Pretty tile, comfy seating, and lots of plant life make it cozy but not fussy, and keep you from being literally right on top of the other diners.
Service: super friendly, welcoming, and kind. They gave us their full attention but weren't too much. The owner was also going around and checking on people who had gotten their food, making sure everything was good.
Food: So, so good. We're fans of the original location, so the food being good wasn't a surprise, but it's always a great reminder of why we used to make the drive in the first place. They have a more limited menu right now as they open--which is smart, because the original location's menu isn't huge but it's a lot for a new place to make on opening week--but they kept their hits, including a breakfast burrito and a burrito bowl. We had the LA Supreme and the Birria Supreme burritos, and they were both delicious.
