I ordered catering from Los Sanchez for my company, hoping to give my clients a nice meal, but the experience was really frustrating.
First, when I called to place the order, there was no one who spoke English, no problem. I asked for the person who answered the phones cell phone number, and texted them with our budget and food choices, but didn’t get a fast response. I called again with a Spanish interpreter, but the person on the Los Sanchez phone wasn’t helpful and seemed argumentative. I informed them of our budget increase, and I nearly had to fight with her to place my order. I literally asked "I don't understand. I'm telling you I want rice and beans, mixed veggies and tacos.. why can't I place my order?" before she finally took my order. I was on the phone for 25 minutes, ridiculous.
We ordered rice, beans, 4 servings of mixed veggies, and a taco platter with chicken and steak. What we got was rice, beans, and a platter with boiled chicken or turkey and pork tacos, which my clients can’t eat for religious reasons. So, unfortunately- they couldn't even pick around it. I called back to explain the mistake, but once again, the person on the other end wasn’t listening. The lady argued with me saying that was my order, when it was in fact not. I told her our phone calls are recorded, and I can play it back for her if she needs me to. They said they’d send 10 chicken tacos, then called back to change it to 8. It was honestly frustrating, and I had to send my assistant to pick up the order again.
We cater for our company at least four times a month. This was our first time ordering from them. After this experience, we won’t be ordering from here again. The food was okay—rice, beans and veggies were fine, but the steak was mostly fatty. They also sent a meat similar to boiled chicken or turkey, and the clients/staff complained that it was flavorless and nasty. I gave an extra star because they did try to fix the problem, but the poor customer service and mistakes with no accountability, it's too big of a deal for us.
They need to change the person that's answering the phone. She has poor customer service, but I hope she can learn to do better. Placing an order should take 5...
Read moreMy niece and I came here regularly for 7 months EVERY Tuesday. At the beginning we had a friendly server and good service we always over tipped because we enjoyed the food and service. Then something changed, a new server started working there and she treated us horribly, any time we will ask for our usual spot she would make it seem inconvenient to her, and say it was unavailable when the spot will clearly be open. We had to ask the manager for our seats on multiple occasions and he made it seem to be no issues. When dropping off our food, the server will always forget items, even though our order was always the same. The most recent disappointment that occurred was during my birthday, I looked forward to coming here to celebrate my birthday. My birthday was on Wednesday and we came in on Tuesday. I requested the comp birthday song and cake ect. Right away I was asked for my ID and I thought that was strange Normally when someone tells you it’s their birthday you don’t request an Id (with the exception of alcohol bevs) you just take their word for it however, I gave them my ID. On my ID you can clearly see that my birthday was the next day, because we are regular customers you would think they would honor it being that we spend money there WEEKLY. They did not, coincidentally there was a table sitting next to me who’s did get the comp bday song. I asked them if they were ID’d and did they have their bday confirmed… they said NO they were not, and of course there was a racial difference. If that is something that they practice that should be done to everyone who comes in not just the people you select. Also, that same day when it was time to bring out our food, we saw our server was in the back refusing to bring our food to our table. When she was forced to bring it, she just dropped it off and did not say a word to us. I am very disappointed with this restaurant. I have spent so much money here, I am in disbelief at how rude and how inconsiderate they are. I will never come back here again and spend my money. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those whose racial profile is...
Read moreIt's not the worst restaurant experience I've had, but it's pretty close. The music volume was egregious, and the service was quite lacking for a restaurant with only 7 other customers at 3 pm. I'd assume it would have been better given the size of the place and the amount of seating they had to offer. Perhaps if I were drunk, it wouldn't have seemed so bad. Our table was cleared and wiped down while we waited 15 minutes for our check. As we waited for our waitress, a young black man came in, asked to be seated at a certain table, and his request was laughed off; the waitress ignored his seating preference and placed him out of view behind the wall. A waiter sat at the table next to us to clean the menus, and he continually smacked the menus down onto the booth space between us when he finished. Unfortunately, I forgot my sunglasses in our hurry to leave, considering how our tip (or lack thereof) would be received. When I returned, one of the waiters was able to retrieve them to me, but when I spoke to him he jeered at my Spanish. And to echo another reviewer, the food was mid. The birria sauce added nothing to the tacos except moisture; don't get me wrong, it had flavor, but in my experience the sauce adds some spice and deeper umami flavor. I hate to say it, but Trader Joe's birria meat is better than what I've had so far in MN (It's pretty good tbf). The burrito was averagely edible. Now, if you want a real banging burrito, go to Flag Foods (Fanni's Mini Market - LA Tienda). They have a delicious beef and green sauce burrito. Sanchez Staff - don't send them hate. Take...
