We stopped by Cross Bridge Noodle for a little late lunch and were delighted with the beautiful atmosphere. We were seated immediately and greeted by friendly faces. We have eaten at Ramen specific noodle places but never soup specific. We ordered the smashed cucumbers and may I say we smashed them, each and every cucumber was gone. Spicy and sweet and the perfect crunch! We ordered the chicken stir fried noodles for a safe option and then opted for the spicy soup with brisket. The employee did warn us it was going to be spicy and he was right! Nothing unbearable but if you’re not used to spicy food, I wouldn’t recommend it. Thankfully, we can handle some heat. What I wasn’t prepared for was exactly how hot (temperature wise) it was. Yes, there are warnings on the menu, near the table and the verbal warning from the employee. Next time we will be ordering from the employees suggestion, the Hot Sour Pickle Pepper soup and maybe the Tom Yum because we love lemon grass. If you’re not sure what to order speak to the employees! They are super friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do. We definitely...
Read moreThis new noodle spot took over the old Cross-Bridge Noodle. But honestly, the vibe feels pretty much the same: simple, cute, and cozy. The coolest part is that you can watch the chefs hand pull noodles right from the lobby. Super fun for kids (and maybe adults, too)!
The menu has tons of noodle options and appetizers, and it feels really authentic. The Chongqing Spicy Noodle is probably the closest I’ve had in Minnesota to the real deal, and the lamb noodle soup was amazing!! You can actually taste the effort that went into it. My kids went crazy over the pickles… We had to order a second plate right away! The only small miss was the spicy beef noodle. It’s not really spicy, but you can just add some chili oil and you’re set.
Service was fast and super friendly. You need to find street parking here, which is a little inconvenient. But overall, we had such a great time and can’t wait to come back to try...
Read more3 complimentary soup samples were given before we chose which ones we wanted which were nice. This is my experience:
Cold chili chicken - tender and delicious, 8/10 Smashed cucumber salad - nice balance sweet and sour, was a very refreshing palette cleanser; not smashed, just sliced. 7/10 Spicy hot pot with sliced beef - noodles were nice and chewy, fatty beef was delicious, soup was decent. 6.5/10 Original hot pot with pork belly - the pork belly slices were thick and came cooked with soy sauce; delicious on its own but strange with the soup. Probably would be better over a hot bed of rice. I prefer the beef slices for the soup. The soup was seasoned very well. Instead of ham/luncheon meat. I would have preferred mini sausages. Also there were no mushrooms that came with the hot pot soups. I think shiitake/enoki/seafood mushrooms would have been suitable. 6.5/10. Service:...
