My comfort food spot in Minneapolis when I don't know where else to go for food! In comparison to many phở spots that I have been to in the Twin Cities, Phở Hòa is pretty solid because as much as the food here can never been compared to home-cooked Vietnamese meals, they still do a good job providing decent quality food that one can still enjoy if they do not feel like cooking that day. The phở broth is better than that from most places that I have been to. I am not sure if they have Bún Bò Huế because I don't recall seeing it here, but I have had the Bún Bò Xào before here and it tastes pretty good to me. The tofu is well pan-fried, and the onion is nicely caramelized. Mixing them with the noodles allows flavors to combine nicely. In terms of phở, I am always going for #97, which is Phở Chín, Nạm, Gầu, Gân, Sách, meaning brisket, flank, fatty flank, tendon, and tripe. Again, it's the broth that counts, but meat lovers will have #97 as a good option for sure. One can also order #91, which, instead of brisket, has steak instead, and everything else is the same. It seems like this restaurant is actually a chain business which I did not realize until my friend in Boston went to the one there! Even on Nicollet Ave, commonly known as Eat Street, with several Vietnamese restaurants, this place still stands out as a solid option for one to get comfort food. Service was pretty fast and on point. You should not be expecting anything above and beyond simply because that's not the way these small Asian restaurants do it, but the waitresses get the job done, and that is more than enough for me! One thing to know, which I am not sure if it applies nowadays, is that they might charge extra if you pay with a credit card.

I wish I didn’t have to write this but there are many other places to spend your hard earned money. My family has been coming here for years and it’s always been great until recently. 1st, the service was poor. Seemed like they didn’t want to be there and didn’t want us there either. Fly in the water they served right away but we just exchanged it, whatever, not a giant issue. 2nd, one person at our table had a shellfish allergy and we told our server about it. He just said “then order beef.” Right. So is everything thrown in the same fryer? If they couldn’t accommodate, I’d gladly take that answer, thank them, and find somewhere else to dine, but wasn’t interested in giving us an educated answer. 3rd, our food came, and guess what? WE RECEIVED PHO WITH CRAB IN IT. Still can’t figure out if this was a joke or accident, either way, someone didn’t care enough to pay attention to our food allergy request. 4th, the beef stew (photo attached) was so fatty we couldn’t even eat it. Server never checked back to see how things were so we finished, went to the cashier to pay, I let them know the issue with the beef stew and why the entire dish was left on the table and they said “that’s just how we cook it, I can’t do anything about it.” I was embarrassed to have brought my friend to “this great pho place I know about” while they were in town. Shame. There are many competitors in the area and I’d urge you to seek other options before spending your money here.

in this restaurant number one pho is served like many other restaurants according to the same recipe, the broth is similar to traditional pho soup. If you are a fan of traditional pho then I would rate it from 5 to 5.B If you want real pho soup, then you should go to this restaurant and order and enjoy a plate of pho soup. I talked to the owners of the place, they once lived in New York, they are very wonderfulThis pho is delicious 🤤. Traditional soup Pho, you like, so I told you I have been to many suop pho locations in the US. This restaurant has a very tasty bowl of soup number one is very old, it reminds of an eighties cafe inside, everything is old and you really understand that you are in Vietnam, but the taste and you have this soup pho soup in this restaurant is special, incomparable with other restaurants, , and you will not regret after that you will again want to return to this restaurant to try this wonderful and delicious soup. On, but this is personal was friendly, and nice, restroom clean and every clean. I am approved and recommend this pho restaurant.

Sorry, I wanted to like this but couldn't. Ordered from Doordash but that's not related to my issues. The pho broth could have used more beef flavor; it tasted very bland and maybe a bit...sour? The amount of bo vien (meatball) included in the pho tai bo vien was one ball cut in half. I've never been to a pho place where they only give you one bo vien. I can't help but feel a bit ripped off- it shouldn't have this much air in it. Furthermore, the quality of the vien was not good. It was not very dense, as seen in pic, leading to further feelings of poor quality. I'm Vietnamese and have had my fair share of pho but I am disappointed with this experience. Also, please note that the goi cuon (spring roll) price is per roll...which I didn't realize until it arrived.

This is the best Pho in MPLS. I’ve never been disappointed & I’ve been coming here for years. If you’re new to Pho, here’s a lil breakdown you might appreciate. Eating Pho is a balancing act. You wanna let it cool, but not get cold. If you eat the noodles too soon, they’re too firm and dry. You gotta let them soak long enough to loosen up. If you wait too long, they get over saturated with broth & become heavy — harder to scoop up with the chopsticks. I usually start with the meatballs & give the lean beef time to fully cook + noodles soften up. Might take a few careful sips of broth. Then, action time: you only have a short window where the equation is perfectly balanced. Don’t wait. Get to Pho Hoa today & order the 83 Large.
