I went here today (4/17/25) with a friend of mine. We order the suqar and beer with Anjera and Malawax. The suqar that my friend ordered was basic and not bad. However, my beer was soo disgusting, and it smelled badly. Cut in large pieces with fat and dry! The malawax was so bad I had to go and ask for anjera. To make matters worse, one of the waiters was cleaning around the tables (check your camera for who) and he basically made a comment in Somali saying “why are you here talking so much, it’s like you are having a conference or something”. We were so shocked with the unprofessional mannerisms and I didn’t even comment back. I used to come here a few months back and it was nice then. But this time, I didn’t even have someone take our orders and we were just sitting there for sometime until one of the dudes at the cashiers stopped by us and said, “ no one is going to take your orders, so you need to come up front make your order, pay then we will serve you”. It was disturbing. I felt bad because that was my friends first time there, and she nor I will ever return to this establishment! Anywhere would be better than this! Do not go to Quruxley and their rude service and overpriced coupled with nasty, low grade food! So disturbed by that waiter and lack of basic professionalism!! I didn’t even eat my beer at all cuz it tasted so dam bad!! They didn’t care and didn’t even offer...
Read moreMoved into the neighborhood recently, so when some of my family came to visit we checked it out. I have no connection to Somalia, so the experience was new to me. The staff was friendly & very understanding. I think we sat on the wrong side (we realized later there was a barrier, so I think 1 side is meant for groups with women/children & 1 side is for all men), but they didn't have any problems with that. We also think we may have confused them a bit when at 1st we tried to order the western way (each person individually instead of 1 group order).
The food was great! It was well made, filling, & a very good value for its price. When I got vimto, for the price I expected it to be like a can, but I got a whole mini pitcher. They also give you bananas with your order, kind-of like how olive garden gives you breadsticks. The sambusa wasn't overly oily like a lot of American fried food, & they had a good menu variety. I also liked the goat soup — it's like a curry broth for those who haven't tried it. Alas, i wasn't able to try their sauces, as i have a very weak spice tolerance. Overall, very happy with my experience &...
Read moreWorst restaurant I have ever seen. Food was below standards, salty, expensive and tasteless. Employees are not trained properly, and the management are also unprofessional.
I ordered rice with lamb, and they brought me something I didn’t liked. I asked the waiter if he can help me since I didn’t get the food I expected. He replied me rudely: was better to say that before you eat. I can’t help you now and he walked away.
Things get worse when the owner of the restaurant said the same words. Despite the fact that they are losing me as a customer, I warn others to not go this restaurant which I believe it will not last longer. Five years ago, this restaurant was shut down because of Improper sanitation and lack of cleanliness.
Since they reopened five years later, I would say they are worse than before. I would have been happy if I can rate zero but I rated 1...
