Every year for my birthday, I do extensive research to find what I consider the best food places possible. I live in STL and this year I wanted to share my foodie adventures with my family in Minnesota. While researching, I came across Staff Meeting on Instagram and when I saw the food . . . I knew this was the spot. When all 6 of us arrived on Saturday, we discovered it was located within Eat Street Crossing Food Court, and although they have other eateries inside, it was Chef Louross that made our visit so spectacular. We got to talk with him for a bit, and this man is an absolute icon. He mentioned he's been in the industry for 27 years, worked in Las Vegas and said he just wants to make incredible food accessible to everyone without charging ridiculous prices. Not only is his food beautiful, it is so damn delicious. The flavors are bold, unique and authentic, and his style really shines through eat menu item. And apparently we planned our visit perfectly, too because Saturday was also the soft opening of PinkU Sushi; so not only did we get to try some delicious comfort foods like ramen and gyoza, but also try something a bit lighter like sushi and cold noodle salad. We ordered: • The Classic Tonkotsu - Rich and creamy pork broth served with thick noodles, house made pork chashu, garnished with green onions, ajitama egg, crispy shallots and crispy garlic. {This one was a must.} • Oboreta Dango (Drowned Dumplings) - Pan fried gyoza layered with their signature house sauce, spicy chili crisp, sesame oil, topped with crispy onion, crispy garlic furikake and shredded fried potatoes. • Them "Take Out" Wings. It was all 😙👌🏼 While we were all visiting and catching up, Chef approached us, asking if he could treat the entire table to some seared salmon belly sushi. For free. Who does this?? A legend does. Legend Louross. This man made our experience something we all said, "we'll never forget." Thank you, Chef. For making that day so special with your kindness and incredible food. This will be a staple every time we visit Minnesota!

Last night, I went to Staff Meeting for the first time with my wife and in-laws. My wife has been a few times and my in-laws a few more than that. The best way to describe Staff Meeting is this is that they are reason why you go out to eat. We started dinner with two orders of dumplings, which was the perfect size for the four of us. But even before ordering, we were greeted with the biggest smile I've ever seen from a chef. We felt so welcomed by the chef and his positive energy was contagious. By the time we made it back to the table, we were just buzzing with excitement. The dumplings were fantastic. They come in an even number, which makes them great to share. The flavors were incredible though. The spicy chili crisp, in my opinion, really pulls the dish together with its refreshing texture. I would say this is a must if you come here. We ordered our ramen and kimchi fried rice and again, our interactions with the chef created just a buzz at our table. Of course he is knowledgeable about his food, but his passion for our experience was second to none. The ramen broth was packed with flavor and the noodles were chewy and delicious. The broth also coated my mouth in a way that was unique only to those expertly crafted ramen. To the chef, a special thank you for my ramen. My only regret is that I couldn't try everything on the menu. Also, thank you for how you treat my family. You've given them a place that they are excited for and now a place we can go to have a meal that's more than a meal. This place makes food for people with love, so share with people they love!

Undeniably phenomenal. Had lunch at this wonderful restaurant yesterday. While locating it wasn't the easiest task (if you go it's inside a very large building where "EAT STREET" is extremely visible from the street. However, the awning was tucked back (and while visible once inside the outdoor patio area, was a bit challenging to view while driving). Regardless, once inside you'll be met with not 1 but 5 different options for food. Staff Meeting is accessible through here. I went with an old friend from school where we our palates were absolute treated to some of the most creative and enjoyable new dishes that I can remember. I had the ribs (10/10) and "them Take out wings" (11/10) and also tried the sesame balls (9/10) I found the prices very reasonable and for the flavor...under price a touch. Seriously, how often do you feel as though you're getting more bang for you buck when eating out these days ? It's. That . Good. Not only that the chef is incredibly friendly and helpful. While I don't live anywhere near here, I absolutely will be coming back whenever I'm in the city...and until then I'll be daydreaming about those wings. If your taste buds need a wake up call, while also craving that homecooking feeling from your childhood kitchen, then get here. Today. You can thank me when you're too full to move (like I was).
