My pup celebrated his 1st birthday at Stanley's on the paw-tio 9/29/24 for breakfast/brunch. Service was superior, kind, and supportive of event. Stanley's allowed a tad earlier arrival at opening than the the Open Table reservation to set up pup party supplies (even working with me to add more attendees) via text/email/inquiry. We had in total 3 Bulldogs & a high-energy 1 y.o.Brittany w/6 people in a good sized space which was provided with watering bowls for the thirsty. The b-fast food was very delicious and well prepared (no errors) all made to liking - just perfect, according to our group. We were able to order all the pups bones (from specific dog menu), which helped occupy their time while us humans ate & enjoyed conversation. The atmosphere was casual open garden covered patio (with many, many TVs to watch sport rivalries) including decent proximity to other dogs/visitors, all of which were well behaved. It was nice to have other visitors stop by to visit, socialize & pet the pooches as we brought a few canine youngsters. I'd highly recommend Stanley's for a meet up/pet or human birthday, or for great food, a welcoming staff, top-notch service...just for an overall good time. You can't go wrong with this choice in my opinion. Make your...
Read moreNice little dog-friendly spot in NE. Great vibes, cute "paw"tio with lots of dogs (and owners) in the summer, and a good amount of bar games upstairs. All of the bases are covered with beer and wine options, and their cocktails are well-crafted and tasty. I am a fan of a lot of stuff here - their Bleu Fig Burger, Yum Yum, and the Nachos, Buffalo Cauliflower, and Boneless Wings appetizers are excellent. They excel at fried foods and rich beef dishes. However, there are some misses on their menu. The Phuket (pho bowl), Fish tacos, and Hot Chicken sandwich - all typically favorites of my girlfriend - were not very good, and she isn't interested in returning at this point. When I did return after a little while with family, we found a huge blob of cream cheese at the bottom of a chicken wrap, and one of our beers was served flat. Overall the menu lacks consistency. Service can also be strangely rushed at times - our last visit, we were there for less than an hour and felt badgered by our wait staff to order. We weren't presented with a bill prior to being checked out, and it seemed to inconvenience the waiter that we selected to have the receipt printed. Regardless, our experience was positive. I would definitely recommend this place to family...
Read moreStanley’s has a pretty consistent menu, and while they offer some good vegetarian options, they have been careless with the gluten-friendly side of it. Was poisoned twice, first time they gave me a non-GF bun instead of a GF one like I specified, second time the bartender gave me a random beer instead of cider. Had to forcibly make myself puke in the bathroom from said beer, and the bartender still made me pay for his mistake. A friend of mine who is also celiac was poisoned with a GF bun on a separate occasion. I understand there are risks to eating out with allergies, etc., but this place is way too risky and has made too many mistakes to go back. Last time I went in for a salad they changed the menu and I noticed there are things listed on their menu as “GF” which are in fact not gluten-friendly at all, even with bun/bread substitutes. If you have allergies or are celiac, be very mindful of what you are getting and double check everything if you’re willing to...
