A must-try in the Twin Cities! We stopped by about 2 weeks after they opened. I was blown away by the decor of this place. You can tell every detail was curated beforehand. You get a Tulum-inspired aesthetic right in the heart of the Northside. They also took their tome with crafting a great drink and food menu. I asked one of the chefs what I should order, and he said, "you can't go wrong top to bottom" on the menu. I rarely believe that, but he was right. We tried more than 10 dishes and loved all of them. The Legendary Dry Rub chicken wings were a 10/10. I don't usually like Hush Puppies, and I would order these every visit. The cantaloupe margarita was a fave for everyone at the table. It was refreshing and not too sweet. Other honorable mentions; Mac & Cheese, Brisket Loaded Fries, anything with the fried Catfish or Salmon. Tbh you would close your eyes and pick something out and you wouldn't be disappointed. I couldn't be more impressed with what they did with this from the vibes to the drinks to the food to the service. I hope this soon becomes a neighborhood / city staple.

When I tell you that my group gave a new meaning to “eyes bigger than our bellies” but we just couldn’t help ourselves…I ordered the brisket plate and they were even nice enough to sub me Mac and cheese which was 🔥🔥for the coleslaw. I won’t give them a bad rating but I gave my greens away they weren’t for me. The Sisters ordered chicken wings both Parmesan and Thai, Catfish fillets and sandwiches, the elote corn, fried green tomatoes, loaded fries, hush puppies, and Brussel sprouts which paired so well with the Mac I have to make another visit. Most definitely “a feast fit for Queens” and trust me “ we let the food stop our mouths” everything was delicious 🤤 I admit I was bit disappointed no Bloody Mary to be found on the menu so we made due with rum punch and cantaloupe margaritas made with fresh juice! We never made it to dessert…so yes there will be another visit soon and shout out to our amazing waitress Ms. Lucy she was amazing and worked that room with the greatest of ease.

We've been waiting to try this new spot on Lowry. We love the vibe of the space, with decor and lighting that are really warm and inviting. They could use a little bit of sound dampening, as it was very loud inside. A negroni and a paloma were both quite delicious. Probably the best paloma I've ever had. The beef tips with rice and Brussels sprouts was just okay; the beef was cooked a little bit too long. The Brussels sprouts were good, in a spicy sweet sauce. The white rice was nothing exceptional. Next time we'll try the brisket. The crispy tofu sandwich was good, well breaded and thinly sliced for a good texture on a sandwich. The baked macaroni and cheese was really, really good. The cornbread was ordinary and quite dry, and was not served with any butter or anything. We would skip that the next time. The place just opened, and we think it has a ton of potential. We'll be excited to go back after they have their legs under them a bit more firmly.

I came to “Tap In” on July 15th in the evening time with my sister. First, we walked in and weren’t greeted and waited for 10 minutes, it seemed like everyone working there purposely wasn’t making eye contact. Finally I had to asked someone who worked there if we were supposed to seat ourselves and he told me someone would be with us shortly, we waited another 10 minutes. We were finally seated and we gave the waiter our order. We got two drinks, the salmon burger, the veggie burger, and the chicken sandwich, we got mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and greens. It took about 20 minutes for our drinks to come out, which were terrible btw, and weren’t ever asked again if we wanted anything else, and we waited over an hour for our food. Waiting was like torture, they had someone playing music in there and it was louder than any concert or show I’ve ever gone to, and I go to dj events often. We were sitting at a small circle table and I had to have my sister repeat what she said over 5 times and I still couldn’t hear her, it was TERRIBLE. We finally got our food after about an hr and 15 minutes of waiting and the salmon burger was our “saving grace” definitely the only thing that was good. Both the veggie and chicken sandwich buns were completely soaked and soggy, and both the chicken and veggie patties were extremely dry. The Mac and cheese was alright I guess, and the greens and brussel sprouts had no flavor at all. We left almost all our food, and our drinks. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences I have had.

The only positives I can give is the overall design of the restaurant was beautiful the walls were so pretty, and also our waiter got all of our food correct which I was so surprised about with the music being as loud as it was.

Definitely will not go there again, I just wanted good...

I live in North Minneapolis and i really hope this place begans to up there level of customer satisfaction because its nice to see buisnesses opening and thriving. So I wil share some things my family disliked and liked about this place with hopes of it bettering as the years go by. Lets start off with the menus. When you first open 1st impressions meen a lot, so when you come with drink and food menus that aren't laminated, but wrinkled its not a good sight to look at. Next when you order chicken wings they are suppose to be an appetizer not show up after i eat my main course, and a few carrot sticks and celery wont break the bank. Last the Briskett was not good at all i thought i was eating pulled pork BBQ sandwich i think slicing the briskett and putting the bbq sauce on side should be optional for the customer. It was so saturated with bbq sauce it made the bun soggy not a good texture for anybody. The good things , the legendary wings have great flavor we liked those a lot, the atmosphere is nice and really cool chill vibes and music. My daughters chicken sandwich she really liked, but make sure not to forget the secret sauce or it just won't hit home. The waitress was kind to us and the melon margaritas my wife and daughter got said they were good and refreshing. Thank you all, we will be back later in the future to see if any of these things have improved and I will be here again giving another review hopefully it will be...

I see exactly why this place is empty I didn’t catch his name but he’s a cashier, waiter, and bartender with dreads. Not only does he have dreads, he has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen in my life. He was beyond disrespectful and made me and my family feel completely unvalued and unheard. I asked him a simple question about a plan and he looked me in my face and said “I don’t know, I don’t get paid to think.” That alone was unacceptable but it didn’t stop there. When it was time to order, he told us “hurry up, I don’t have all day.” I couldn’t believe the lack of professionalism or the way we were treated like we were bothering him. When he brought the food, he slammed our plates down on the table like we didn’t matter. I asked for the manager and he ignored me and walked away. After all of that, he still had the nerve to ask for a tip. When I told him we didn’t appreciate how we were treated, he said “oh well, you don’t have to come back then, that should solve all your problems.” This was the worst customer service and worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life. If you don’t like your job, quit. If you can’t treat people with basic respect, quit. If you don’t know how to talk to customers, you shouldn’t be working in this field at all. I will never be back and I hope management takes this seriously because no one deserves to be treated like this, especially not paying customers just trying to enjoy a meal with...
