Victory Memorial parkway is a quaint part of North Minneapolis. It is a part of the larger Grand Rounds Scenic Byway trails system. There is expansive green-space, great walking and bike trails (even though many bike riders in the area seem oblivious on how to ride their bike on the beautiful trails rather than down the middle of the road!).
For those that play Pokemon-Go, it is a pokemon paradise! Over 110 poke-stops, many gyms, and it is a nesting point for various pokemon! Read moreThis is the go to stop for all you Pokemon Go'ers! The entire few blocks have 20 pokestops, one for each memorial plaque. There is a spot about half way down the parkway where you can reach 6, yes 6, Pokestops.
There are usually 20 to 30 people sitting around with bonfires and coolers just playing Pokemon and getting to know the neighbors and other players.
