Victory Memorial Parkway — Attraction in Robbinsdale

Victory Memorial parkway is a quaint part of North Minneapolis. It is a part of the larger Grand Rounds Scenic Byway trails system. There is expansive green-space, great walking and bike trails (even though many bike riders in the area seem oblivious on how to ride their bike on the beautiful trails rather than down the middle of the road!).

For those that play Pokemon-Go, it is a pokemon paradise! Over 110 poke-stops, many gyms, and it is a nesting point for various pokemon! Great place to fill your poke-bag with items and collect stardust! Bring an extra charge pack because you will want to spend as much time as possible hitting all the poke-stops, catching pokemon and raiding with the great groups of raiders that...

This is the go to stop for all you Pokemon Go'ers! The entire few blocks have 20 pokestops, one for each memorial plaque. There is a spot about half way down the parkway where you can reach 6, yes 6, Pokestops.

There are usually 20 to 30 people sitting around with bonfires and coolers just playing Pokemon and getting to know the neighbors and other players.

Running low on Pokeballs, Potions, or revives come on down to the Victory Memorial Park, a gathering place for those weary...

Growing up on the Northside of Minneapolis I always envied the homes along the Parkway. Love to see runners, joggers, walkers with dogs, bicycles and strollers. Families, couples, or groups spending time in the grass along the Parkway. Now that my daughter purchased a home on the Parkway, I am living my childhood memories all over again!! Always kept up with city workers emptying the trash receptacles...
