MANAGER SENT DELIVERY GUY TO MY DOOR TO HAVE A CONFRONTATION. ABSURDLY INAPPROPRIATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! First, I’m a reasonable person. Ordered wings. Through a food delivery service because toppers website hasn’t taken credit card orders for several weeks now. Refuse to call it in because they always mess up the order. Wings arrived. Cold. Didn’t have sauce on them like I ordered. Called, after a simple discussion the manager said he would send fresh ones to my house. Delivery guy arrives. That’s where it gets interesting.......THE MANAGER MADE THE DELIVERY GUY (while at my doorstep) WITHHOLD THE NEW ONES (with actual sauce on them) UNTIL I WENT AND GOT THE DRY ONES, SO HE COULD CALL HIS MANAGER FROM MY FRONT DOORSTEP LIKE HIS MANAGER DEMANDED!!! (what’s the point if you’ve literally already made new ones and sent them with your driver to my house???). HIS MANAGER TOLD HIM TO INSPECT THE OLD WINGS FOR SAUCE AND CALL HIM BEFORE HE WAS “ALLOWED” TO GIVE ME THE FRESH ONES HE BROUGHT!!!!! DRIVER AND I WAIT ON HOLD AT MY FRONT STEP TO TALK TO SAID MANAGER FOR FIVE MINUTES, only to tell him they were cold, and that they might have a small amount of sauce but not the normal amount. Let me tell you that they were bone dry. ID ALREADY WAITED NOW A TOTAL OF ALMOST TWO HOURS TO EAT SINCE MY FIRST ORDER. Beyond that though, this poor delivery guy! The manager sent him out to have a confrontation with a customer, at their doorstep, all for nothing! IT TOOK 5 MINUTES ON HOLD WAITING TO REPORT TO HIS MANAGER ON THE “INSPECTION”!!!! Essentially hoping he can call me a liar through this poor delivery guy! Who does this?!? I will NEVER buy from Toppers again! How incredibly unprofessional, and what an awful position to put your delivery driver in! Perhaps why I have yet to go in to pick up an order without a help wanted sign in the window. The manager should have either chosen to not send new ones, or had the balls to call me a liar himself. Just absurd. Never again. There are plenty of pizza places around here to choose from. Never....
Read moreI try to give any small business the benefit of doubt, but Toppers Lyndale fails at every aspect of a business. I have placed probably 40+ orders at Toppers Bloomington and for the most part have been satisfied. The 3 times I’ve visited Toppers Minneapolis, 2/3 times to pizza was garbage and the one time, it was just average. About a week ago, I ordered a pizza from Topper’s Minneapolis and it was literally the worst pizza I’ve ever seen. It’s crazy because the last time I ordered a pizza, it was bad, but not as bad as this time. The individual making the pizza was on his phone with his baby mama arguing, while making a pizza with one hand. I originally posted a negative review, but deleted it because I felt like maybe he was having a bad day, but literally, every employee, produces the laziest work out there. The only employee that has produced a decent pizza, is a lady that used to work at the Bloomington location, and she’s been overall amazing. The pizza I ordered, looked horrible, I paid for extra roasted tomatoes, it barely had any on there, the pizza literally barely had any toppings, I’ll attach pictures. I rarely complain about products, but this pizza looked vile. When I complained, I was offered a full refund, which I was grateful for, but I was also promised $25 in credits. Today, I drove to location to redeem the credits and the guy working the store said to come back in the morning, because he doesn’t understand how it works. I already drove 20+ minutes to try to get my pizza and I had to drive back with nothing, it’s actually ridiculous. Do not go to this location ever, I’ve never heard of a business that told you to show up in the morning, like it’s just that simple, lol. Do not buy your pizzas from the Lyndale location. Please boycott it, if we all refuse to buy products from them, maybe they’ll finally step up and stop providing the worst service we’ve ever seen. The pizza image shown below, I literally paid for extra roasted tomatoes and overall this pizza...
Read moreHappy to contribute to this restaurants review list. We ordered toppers pizza two nights in a row actually, the first time was so good that I'm surprised we have to leave such a bad review for the second night. I'm a big fan of toppers, the Duluth locations were always service with a smile and didn't mind working with you a little late. This store doesn't work like that.
Got my order at around 12:50, ten minutes till close. By 12:55 I was on the phone. What was initially missing upon easy viewing was about five dollars in dip cups. If it was just fifty cents missing I would have let it go, but this store rushed my order and missed the dip cup order completely. I called the store and was put on a 7 minute wait, just long enough for the store to close. At 1:02 someone finally picks up, acknowledges their mistake, and tells me the best they could do was a 5 dollar refund since they were now closed. I accepted, and that was the end of that up until I looked at my wings. What was supposed to be a pound and a half of wings was in actuality half a pound of wings, and so poorly sauced the wings weren't even covered. The store was closed by this point so I decided to call back today. Their staff told me to call back because it was a night shift problem, I told them 15 dollars worth of goods were wrongfully withheld from me, they told me that was between me and their boss. The same boss who supposedly took my phone call last night. If that's the bosses policy this isn't on the workers. But that's a bad policy.
As it stands I feel like it's not fair for me to have to wait over 20 hours for a resolution for my mistaken order.
I'll be calling back tonight and will remove this review provided the issue is fixed fairly. A five dollar refund is not good enough for what was missing from my order.
Ps. The pizza that came with this order was actually very good. Hence the two star. I recommend the tottza if you're looking for something weird but good, and their Buffalo pizza...
