TLDR-Sad when gone, rebuild is A+, one bad experience with mobile order/pay and rude worker, but overall good location!!!!!! ---I was so sad when they burned this Wendy's down since it was the only decent fast food joint in the immediate area of businesses. BUT! Good things do come from the bad. As with most of the other burned or badly wrecked businesses around lake/26th str, Wendys quickly rebuilt with a super nice updated building thats still slangin' yummy and fresh burgers....so all good why the 3/5 rating? Well the first (and last) time using mobile pay where I paid in the app so i could use a "mobile order only" deal or coupon or watever. Anyways I pulled up to the drive through but instead of a quick relay of my conformation number and food handoff, I was told my order was in fact ready...once I pay for it!? Confusion level 100 😧😖so whats the point of mobile order/pay if i pay here? I even offered to show my chime app which clearly showed I had already paid in full and pointed out how silly it would be to order on my phone only to pay at the restuarant cuz its no different then just using the drive through lol. "Oh Im sorry sir our mistake let me..."--NOPE, not at all, what actually went happened is I was rudely shot down, told Im wrong all while getting strong vibes insinuating im likely some cheapskate scammer, nice try buddy now pay up!($3 order btw)..so being hungry and in no mood to argue paid, again, and was on my way. In trying to save $ with a mobile order deal I ended up with the opposite.. However!! this experience is NOT typical as all past experience with workers, pre and post the George Floyd riots have been pleasant and without issue. Read moreWell I gotta say that there food seems to get better while there service and atmosphere particularly at this location are complete garbage SMH, I must say thay if you want that yummy all beef burger and thick fries with a strawberry frosty, SKIP THIS LOCATION, they lack basic customer service, AND THE DRIVE THROUGH TOOK NEARLY 40 MINUTES! I don't know if carrying a backpack full of my school books made me look like one of the homeless patrons camped in front of the doors, and they thought that was a good reason to short my order, as well as deny that they did, but they did. I was genuinely offended by their lack of even basic customer service and their more than obvious, blatant, disrespectful manner in which they treated me. As if I really needed to lie to them about a cheese burger, or didn't deserve to try the new strawberry frosty finally. So like most new and old customers I looked forward to how Wendy's does Strawberry, because after many years of its absence from the menu when choosing a thick delicious frosty flavor, I was very excited to see its arrival on the lineup of flavor. Unfortunately, after the way they treated me, it will be a long time before this guy tries it because these guys failed with epic proportions when they where rude, and when they messed up my order them...
Read moreI had the worst experience here, bunch of Mexicans working here who don’t speak english so communication was hard. I ordered on the mobile app, went there 20 mins later and they said they don’t have my order on the speaker. I tell them I have it on my phone, its my turn to go up the window and the guy tells me that my order was taken, he then accuses me that I have a friend who took it and says “cameras are watching you” in some barely understandable english. After sitting there for 20 mins arguing, I finally decide to go on the app and cancel the order and it doesn’t let me. So my money gone and food gone. I told him call the cops because I sure as hell am not about to get played for my dinner at 11pm that I spent 15 bucks on. They start making my order out of nowhere and I tell them no thanks, if you can’t guve me my money back, don’t expect me to trust your food after I was yelling at you for 30 mins.
