I came into this Popeyes location today for the first time because I was shopping at the Target nearby. I usually go to the Popeyes on colonial in winter garden and I never have an issue with the food or service. Today I used a digital Popeyes app coupon for 6pc chicken tenders with 2 sides. Upon arriving no spicy tenders were available but I opted to wait for the spicy tenders which was fine. Waited about 10 minutes and when I arrived home I literally had one normal sized tender and the rest I quote from my fiancé “looked like chicken nuggets”. We were hungry and didn’t know about the Popeyes policy of taking a picture so the issue could be solved later. I called the location after eating and explained what happened the man I spoke to knew who I was because I was the only one that asked for the spicy tenders and literally called 30 min after the purchase. The manager was so upfront and said I was upset when I was so calm explaining what happened. He began to explain the policy in such a rude manner definitely not professional and I asked if he was the manager he said yes which was surprising being the way he approached the situation. I then did become frustrated because his words were coming out as if he thought I was lying. I explained it was my first time at their location to possibly see if he would be more understanding of the situation and he just became more fierce in his tone and language. I asked for a number I could possibly call like a higher up and he said no. He then admitted he does answer to someone else but he would not give me his name or email or any contact information because he’s not allowed to. So then I asked for the corporate number he became mad again in a sarcastic way saying you can look up the 1800 number. Ultimately this “Manager” was not helpful at all with a suppose situation he is suppose to handle calmly and again in a customer service manner. This is so upsetting to know people are put in these higher positions and act the way they do like I am not a regular customer at the company. He told me it’s a franchise and there are manager positions available if I want to apply…so unprofessional. MANAGER NAME IS JASON GM and I don’t even know if he gave the correct name. Read moreStop don’t eat here Sherwin the manager was in the drive thru window in the staff on front counter was licking his fingers to grab and open bags while bagging food in reaching for chicken.my food was cold I got the manager attention at the drive through after sitting in the window for 7 mins while his back was too me the frozen drinks was water I park due to all the food was combined in one box as if he was taking the food home for closing to family and not separate biscuits, fries and Strips all in one box blended cold and two mobile orders that was ordered separately all in one bag no condiments utensils or napkins. I then park to come inside from 1:58 til 2:57 just to be told my food was ready sitting on the counter top getting cold after 10 mins waiting on filets to be ready unprofessional and was told if you order mobile that I couldn’t get a receipt cause he didn’t want corporate to know it was a manager sending food out like this. not to mention the the GM had to correct sherwin and tell him food is sitting for drive while she is bagging It he’s not coming to get it to move drive he’s standing and waiting for her to bring it to him. Trash was changed by and employee afterwards the front counter cashier/ finger licking bagger then resume to bag more food without washing hands. I then call the store to explain to the GM who had no clue of what was going on due to sherwin Williams telling the employee to come in drive to talk to him out the view of me in yet I’m still waiting for the second order. I proceeded to ask the cashier what’s the update on the filets and the GM said no one ever mentioned filet being replaced to her but they been up in the cabinet I then canceled my kids are ready to eat nothing is complete and food on counter getting cold the remake as well I’ve been here now 1 hr. I called store spoke to GM she understood and apologized all the drinks and food are on counter I call the customer service request our refund and drove 40 mins to the next location to satisfy my kids needs and received top service never...

Upon going through the drive through we ordered their 9 piece with 2 large sides and biscuits for $19.99 special. We specifically asked that the chicken be cooked fresh. The young gentleman said that would be no problem. We paid for our food and in about 2 mins he handed us our boxes. Now we suspected something was off as if the chicken was cooked fresh then it wouldn’t have come out so fast as well as our boxes were like warm. Now my mother already suspected the chicken was not fresh but me trying to be opimistic said maybe it is and hasn’t penetrated the boxes yet. So we continued to come home and feed my dad. I had 1 wing a thigh and some of the Cajun rice. I could instantly see the chicken was not fresh, was ice cold out of the box and sopted in grease. As it was already 10pm and we all working long days decided not to bring it back and complain.. but under different circumstances we would of.
Now fast forward to this morning I wake up with sharp pains running through my abdomin and heavy nausea. I instantly run to the bathroom and start throwing up.. the chicken. The pains going through my stomach are like Zeus himself using my stomach as a target for target practice. I have heavy explosive diarrhea , cold sweats hot flashes and extremely weak. I call to my family and find... we all are in the same predicament!!
As an establishment you can’t feed old food especially poultry to your customers that has been sitting for god knows how long and causes a whole family to be ill and miss days from work. For a company that advertises a “ love that chicken from Popeyes” I can guarantee you this is not the case from my family. I will never eat from this Popeyes or any in the chain food establishment. 1. For the blantant lying of a simple easy request but also 2.
