My wife Paula is Venezuelan and we live up in Gulf Breeze, FL. We are down for the weekend seeing her cousin. She got up this morning and searched for Venezuelan food as we do not have many options. She saw the option for Mariloū and the reviews, even though we are staying in Wintergarden (30mins), we decided to be adventurous. When you walk in it is a quaint sit down area with the smells of meat, potato, fried goodness, and upbeat latin music. The lady that first helped us was Sol. Very nice and helpful talking with my wife to get us what we were looking for. Lots of options of Empanadas, Pasteles, and Arepas, filled with combinations of cheese, potatoes, shredded beef, ground beef, black beans, plantains and chicken. If you are in the mood to try Venezuelan food for first time or are seasoned, this little joint will hit the spot and leave you with a craving to come back to try more. Sol makes a great latte as well. Posted by a red-headed kid who grew up in...
Read moreIf you’re craving authentic Venezuelan flavors, this spot is a must-visit! Their empanadas are perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful fillings like shredded beef, cheese, and chicken. Each bite is satisfying, and the corn dough has just the right texture. The tequeños here are also a highlight—gooey cheese wrapped in a slightly crisp dough, fried to golden perfection. These Venezuelan cheese sticks are everything you’d hope for and pair perfectly with the fresh house sauces, especially the garlic or guasacaca (Venezuelan avocado sauce).
The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with vibrant decor that adds to the experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about sharing Venezuelan cuisine. Whether you’re new to Venezuelan food or a fan already, this place offers a taste that feels like a...
Read moreI went to this restaurant for the first time and the service was ok, they don't really welcome you, not just that, while we waited for our food, we noticed how one of the ladies from the kitchen came with the same gloves she was touching the food and cooking it, she touched the computer, food orders, she also touched her phone and the register. That makes me think it's not a clean place, while the lady at the front was doing everything, she was very nice and helpful, she asked the other lady to help her and that same lady rolled her eyes to her. The food was ok, not...
