Not impressed over all. My spouse and I (52 and 54 years old - not teenagers) asked if we could do a walk-through to see if the rest of our family had arrived and to make sure we were at the right place to meet them. The hostess acted as though we were trying to get in for free. She said, "You can pay first, THEN you may do your "walk-through." The rest of our dining experience was equally unpleasant, and the food was just okay. Typically hypocritical, this place blares Christian music in your face while you're trying to visit. I, too, am proud of my Christian faith, but I do not believe in forcing upon others. How about some nice, soft, ambient music that people of all denominations might appreciate and enjoy? During our visit, an African American family came in. Mother, Father, and 2 adorable, well-behaved children were treated as though they were invisible. What would JESUS do??? Further, they complain about immigrants coming into the USA, yet the only friendly employees here - and the only ones who were actually WORKING - were the Mexicans, whom they work like slaves at minimum wage. Not very "Christian." They appeared very sad and hopeless, and we felt so bad for them.
So much for "small town values;" we were happy to get back to the city where there is diversity, and "do unto others" is alive and well. Next time we have to visit Stearns County, we will pack a picnic and...
Read moreLet me just start with I have worked fast food for thirty years as a manager and treating an employee who works hard and always shows up for their shifts, the way they did to my son is outrageous! Son reviews schedule every week for the last three weeks, was scheduled two shifts and was called off by the manager they didn't need to come in. Next two weeks not scheduled. I suggested they call the manager. Son left message. No phone call, just a text from manager advising they didn't show up for their shifts, the shifts the manager called them off for, so they let him go. No phone call to find out if he is OK, nothing. Is this how we manage today? How is this teaching them to be accountable when management isn't? Ridiculous if you ask me! My son worked there for a year, showed up for their shifts, called off when he was sick, and is a hard worker. There was no reason to let him go. Culture in a restaurant is started with the manager who runs the place. Teach them to love customer service and motivate them to be better. I place the blame on the manager running this...

Our frustration on this visit was with the pizza we ordered. We ordered a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza. Easy right? Nope. The first pizza they brought to our table was pepperoni and green olives. We politely told the staff person that it was not the pizza we ordered and that nobody at our table would eat it. She apologized and a short while later came out with another pizza. This one was pepperoni with half the pizza green olives. We didn't quite understand why the second pizza had olives on it as we clearly stated that no one at our table would eat it. We were a party of 4 so we needed more than half a medium size pizza for our table. Eventually, 25 minutes before the closing of the buffet, we finally had the correct pizza brought to our table so the rest of our party could eat.
This incident will in no way stop us from coming back! We love Pizza Ranch! But almost every time we order a special pizza...
