I stop at this Pilot Travel center a few mornings each week. It seems that almost every time I go to the Arby's inside, Bobbie is working. She's great, always remembers my name, always appears to be doing several jobs at once while the manager sits in the office and no one else is there to help her. She greets the customers, takes their order, drops the fry products, makes the food, hands the food out, get the fried products out without overcooking it and takes more orders. She always serves food quickly and it tastes great and she does all of this with a smile! If she isn't a candidate for being a model employee, then I don't know who is. When the manager is out and present, she's making Bobbie look incompetent directly in front of customers. This happens at least once out of every 3 visits that the manager is present. I know I don't work there, so maybe it is deserved for some reason that I cannot see. But being in management myself, I would never have obviously embarrassing or disciplinary conversations with my employees except for in private. Especially when the person i'm talking to is essentially the lifeblood of the restaurant. To me, Bobbie deserves a raise. Read moreThe stars don’t matter at this point, i don’t know who decided to only have one worker at 10:15 at night but that’s ridiculous and too much of a work load for that one employee. He has to take the orders, collect payment and go make the food then bag it all and everything by himself. Mind you, there were 3 people in line when i arrived so i noticed it was taking awhile and i then realized he was all by himself. The manager literally walked out when the only employee had 3 food orders up and they were pretty big orders to do. The manager just left him out to dry and that right there is poor management. I think it was completely wrong to just leave him alone to do all of the work. I do understand it is 24-7 and it’s late at night but still, even if the manager’s shift was over, the least he could’ve done was helped him with the orders that were up then left as a curtesy to his staff.
