Los Campesinos — Restaurant in Minooka

As any person knows, when it’s Cinco de Drinko you head out to find some authentic Mexican food and margaritas. Well, we found Los Campesinos and it was packkeddd. We waited to get seated for about 15 minutes. Then when we got seated it took about 15 mins for anyone to even come back to the table and get us drinks or chips or anything. When we finally got our order, my wife got the taco dinner and I got chiles poblanos, her food came out not hot but not cold and then they told me they didn’t have my peppers anymore. And asked what would I like instead.. mind you this was 20-30mins after we ordered. I then just decided to get a burrito and wasn’t satisfied. Got a dry burrito with nothing on the side or on top of it. I get it, you are busy and all but please hire some more people. This place would have been way more enjoyable if people were being seated orderly and being taken care of equally. The reason for 3 stars instead of 2 is because the margaritas...

One of the most surprising disappointments. I found this place in the middle of nowhere Minooka so I thought I'd give them a try. Tables are very clean, and the inside is spacious. The menu has a wide variety of food and drink items. It was also apparent that the majority of the staff spoke Spanish. So far so good. The trouble started when I ordered the Grande Steak Burrito. When the food finally arrived it had taken the kitchen about 15 minutes to prepare a tortilla with steak already wrapped around and drenched with a white sauce on the top. The worst part was the lettuce, tomato, sour cream and onion on the side. (Look at the photo). They dare charge $14 and change for this embarrassing slop of mess. A beautiful place to have dinner 🍽️

Had some Mexican enchiladas and shrimp 🍤 rice and beans. Their tables are wide and woody! Lol If you sit too much your butt will hurt! Hahaha just saying. Because it's made of homemade American varnish. They are nice by the way. I truly want to thank this Mexican place for their hospitality and friendly service. The margaritas are superb and delicious.

Real Mexican food from Mexico ! If you come by Thur Chicago - come by and see for yourself. The prices are fairly reasonable and food is really well served. This is my first time I come here and experience this all Mexican food from Mexico.
