Jaylynn did my lashes and I am so impressed! It was my first time getting my lashes done and she was so helpful through the whole process which made me very comfortable! Chaney did my eyebrows and she did so good!
I wanted to add to this. Lexi ruined my hair. Now I don’t know if she personally had something going on Or she simply did not want to take the time to do it because she did say it would take a while given the length of my hair and the work I wanted done. We planned for 6 hours which she said she felt like would be enough time for her and it ended up being over 8. There were 2 times during the process that her mom came in with her son which I absolutely do not mind but the mom kept asking when she would be done and it made me uncomfortable and then further added to my suspicions that she was trying to rush. She stated multiple times that she wanted to finish before the sun went down so she could get good pictures. She used multiple extra bowls of developer to speed up the process. She was putting stronger developer over the already bleached and foiled hair because it wasn’t lifting fast enough for her liking. Yes, I was charged for those extra bowls she decided to do without talking to me first. Then I got charged for a k-18 treatment again not knowing that I would be charged for it she just did it. She was just doing what she wanted and completely going against what we talked about. My hair cut was completely botched (picture attached) there were multiple patches in my hair that were discolored. I had multiple white streaks because she over processed my hair and it literally stripped all of the color till it was WHITE, and then they were trying to talk me into liking it saying “it adds dimension”. There was multiple harsh lines in my hair. it was pointed out me to several times in public by other hair stylist saying that whoever did my hair was either rushing or did not know what they were doing (that’s how noticeable it was) which is extremely disheartening and very embarrassing. I trusted Lexi with my hair and she did not care about it at all. Lexi lied to me about pricing for several items. Even after the severe damage was done I still had to pay for the deep conditioning treatment that she recommended. She told me it was 30$ and it was over 40$ (the second time she lied to me about pricing). I had such long and healthy hair. I expressed to her that I was extremely scared to get my hair colored again because I had someone who was inexperienced ruin my hair before years ago. Do you know what they said to me? It’s probably my hair. I still 4 months later spend over 30 minutes brushing my hair everytime it gets wet. I lose chunks of hair every time I brush it. I can’t do anything that involves getting wet or my hair gets completely tangled and looks like a rats nest. It’s heartbreaking. Overall this was extremely disappointing. The way it was handled. No refund offered. No apology. She just didn’t care. It was supposed to be my “mommy makeover” and it turned out so horrible. I’m going to attach the picture below. Yes I know I’m coming back months later to say all of this but I look at it like this; I guarantee she has not once thought of me since that appointment but I am reminded every single day and have been dealing with this the entire time. My hair is ruined. My time has been lost. My money was lost. I lost. Im really not trying to bash Lexi but the cherry on top was she never posted the pictures she rushed through my hair to take! Just a slap in the face really.
The only reason I am leaving it at 2 stars is because Jaylynn. She is amazing and I love her. sadly I don’t think I’ll...
Read moreShort review: if you have even thought about getting extensions..Jess is your girl. Her eye for detail, passion for color and meticulous work make the best combination. I am constantly getting compliments on my color, how well my extensions blend and people asking for her info. She cares, she will hear you, she’s honest and then she will create what you described. She’s amazing and you won’t regret it.
I am new to extensions and they are seriously easier than she even said they would be. Easy to style, dry quickly, look good anyway you wear them and honestly forget they are even in!
Long review: Jess has been doing my hair for years. I am always getting compliments on my color. When she started to move away from doing color in to doing more extension work I told her she’s not allowed to break up with me and threatened to get extensions just to keep her.
I have ALWAYS had very thick hair and Jess..ALWAYS being honest and doing what is best for her clients..said “I’ll never put extensions in your hair. You would only need it for length and I’d have to put too many wefts in, it’d be too much manageable”. I have always appreciated her honesty.
Fast forward to 2022/2023 and I lost so much hair. Jess mentioned “we can throw in a weft or two”. I was nervous about it because I hate to be uncomfortable and knew I would not be able to just pop them out if they were bothering me. She assured me that at first I might feel them because I wouldn’t be used to them/it’s new but after that wore off it wouldn’t be noticeable/uncomfrtoable. Again honesty.
After months of indecision I finally messaged her and said “let’s get me some hair”. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner. I viewed hair as “superficial” and didn’t want to spend money on it. I’d just live with my hair I was unhappy with not really realize how much it was effecting me. When Jess put the extensions in and I looked like myself for the first time in SO long I had to hold back tears. It’s far from superficial. It gave me back a piece of myself. It’s such a part of identity.
They are so easy. Throw it up in a ponytail for a HIIT workout? Yep. Cute half up hairstyle? Yep. Don’t have time to do my hair and throw a baseball hat on? Yep. Feeling fancy curl it? Yep. Feeling lazy and just run a straightener over it? Yep. Anyway I wear it..it just looks so natural. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve heard “I can’t believe that isn’t your real hair. How does she match it so well?” ( see the bottom for my answer 🦄🤣 )
She pays attention to detail. She is meticulous. She is not okay with good enough and won’t stop until it’s perfect. And she actually HEARS you because she cares. Not only is her work absolutely amazing, but you are going to have a great time sitting in her chair AND leave with fabulous hair. Go book your appointment. Seriously. Like right now.

Read moreI have been there twice as a client now and I have to say I am thrilled when I leave.
I was new to The Collective back in February, I sent in tons of inspo pictures to explain where I was, to where I wanted to go with my hair. I was afraid I was "too much" for them... But honestly, my last hair person burned me, and my hair pretty bad... I was terrified to do anything with my hair... I felt like I was never going to find someone who would actually listen to me.
I had a consultation with Lexi, who REALLY listened to me. I told her issues I have had in the past. And how my hair was currently just on a healing mission from the last person who over bleach and fried my hair (2 years prior ). I had spent loads of time in the pool, in the ocean and not really doing anything for my hair. She saw the damage, the out growth, and most importantly the vision!
Lexi maintained friendly professionalism our entire first meeting. She was honest and real with me. She explained what she could do and what she couldn't. She explained every last detail of what her service would include. NO HIDDEN FEES, NO RANDOM UP CHARGES! (Because we all know this 'story' we have been in the chair, told one thing and in the end it is double what else expected.) Not here.
I come in for my first appointment, I am made comfortable in the chair and we get to work. Lexi quickly worked her magic and left me feeling fantastic! She did all the things she said she would. My hair felt great and healthy. No dead processed hair! My hair was somehow healthier feeling and looking; then not processed. I'm telling you, magic And the best part, at check out I paid what I was quoted! Not a penny more! I can not even express how much of a relief that is. At the end of the appointment we discussed my next appointment and what if want and when I wanted it, booked it and left (already knowing what my price would be next time!). Easy-peasie!
Today, I had my second appointment, and it was the exact same friendly service! I did want a little bit of a change, which was previously discussed. Just a bit more blonde a little brighter in color, but generally the same service, plus a haircut. Lexi double checked what I wanted, mixed up her magic colors and got to work. I was in and out, FASTER than I was quoted! But that price... 100% what I was promised. That's the pretreatment, color/lightening/toning, Drying and styling! And I was at home, in my driveway with enough time to write this review.
I left there this time, feeling even MORE beautiful!!! How? Magic, I swear! Y'all I am so thrilled with my hair, and it really does make me...
