Today, I went with some friends on lunch to this establishment. We walked in and we already didn’t like the vibes so we walked out. A customer walks towards us and we asked them have he tried it and he said they are good. We walked in and placed our order and so far so good. The food was actually good. Seasonings were a little weird, but flavorful in a good way. I ordered a shake after seeing my friend shake and I requested that it’s thicker. Her shake was basically chocolate milk literally. The waitress brought my shake out and it was watery. She took it back and it came back like water with two lumps of ice cream that looked suspect. Remind you it had bubbles as if it was boiling. I walked to the manager and she was already whispering. Wait, before that I asked for my money back and the waitress said you can’t get it back cause you used a card. She said you can go talk to the manager they are already yelling at me over this. I said I don’t care and proceeded to the front (meaning I don’t care about the manager attitude because why is she mad at you for doing your job). I politely tried to explain myself to the lady who was twitching her eyes as if she wanted to curse me out. I felt judged because I’m black, dark skinned with braids. She told me we have made these shakes a lot of times (meaning, we’ve been making these for years without a complaint) and we prepared it for you twice. I said well the ice cream in the cup you gave me that I settled for is in this ity bitty soup coup with the shake was in a large drinking cup so that means your not giving me my money worth your cheating me (I told the waitress when she brought it to me water again, to just tell them I’ll take regular ice cream in this same cup, she came back with a little soup cup of ice cream and I felt cheated out of my money). She said what do you mean once again rolling her eyes as if she wants to snap. I got closer and stood firm. I said you are holding my money hostage, that shake is literally chocolate milk, it’s all liquid and you can either give me another scoop of ice cream or give me my money back cause your now cheating me out of my money and refusing me my money back and that’s not right. She stood there refusing and a tall Mexican man came from the back talking something and she walked to the register. I was so embarrassed because, I felt like everyone was watching for them to attack me over some ice cream. He told her to give me $6 back and I thought to myself (damn $6 for some a watery bubbly shake is insane)! The waitress walked passed me and whispered with her lips (thank you) I rubbed her back and said no, thank you because you did nothing wrong after you told them to make it thick like how a shake is suppose to have been made. I just feel like, if you can’t make a shake you should not offer it because that was the first time I’ve experienced that in my life. A shake is a shake not melted bubbling ice cream. It was the consistency of ice cream that melted for an hour and sat in a cup!!!! This is why we walked out and should have stayed out. They only like black people for their money, but don’t respect us when we’re right! I feel how I feel. I feel This was racist cause if I was white, I would have...

I would like a manager to call me regarding my recent order. There seems to be some confusion on the biscuits and gravy with two eggs. Your online menu says it’s 8.95, your employee Laura just spent 10 mins on the phone with me arguing. She charged me almost $13 and said she rang in the eggs separate because I asked for the full order. I said I just wanted the meal online that’s $8.95 that I always get. Nobody ever mentions charging me separate for eggs because I asked for a full order of biscuits. I said there’s a half order online without eggs and I was just trying to be clear I wanted the full with eggs. She tells me I got and paid for 3 biscuits and side order of eggs. I ended up leaving and checked my order in the car, I got exactly what I wanted (2 biscuits and eggs) but not for the price that was online. So I called back and spoke with her. She puts me on hold and talks to the cook about why I only got 2 biscuits. She comes back on the phone and now states the menu changed last week and now the full order is only 2 biscuits and the half order is 1. I told her ok I know that because that’s what I always get but not for $13! I told her when I order this meal in a couple days because I always get it I expect the other employees to follow through with what you’re saying. She seemed very confused and didn’t want to admit she was wrong. She had so many excuses when she could of just refunded me a couple of dollars instead of making up all these lies. I’m not a difficult customer, I get the same meal a couple times a week. But I expect to pay what is stated on the menu. I expect a phone...
Read moreI had the opportunity to finally try this place after passing it every day on my way home from work, and I must say I shouldn't have waited so long to do so. 1st, it gives you old diner vibes with the big opening that you can see through to the kitchen, and the waitress gives the cook the order slip directly. The actual restaurant is smaller than it looks from the outside. However, when I went, I was one of two occupants. The service was great, and my waitress catered to my every need. I tried the Denver omelet with hashbrowns and pancakes, and yes those were options that came with the Denver omelet, and I tried the steak and egg burrito. The pancakes were fluffy, and didn't disintegrate when the syrup was applied. They soaked up just the right amount of syrup, and held together when picking up with the fork. The last thing you want is your pancakes falling apart. The hashbrowns had the right crunch to soft ratio I like myself. The omelet is my go to breakfast at any establishment, and this kept in the consistency I like, however, I will ask for extra cheese the next time, as i like my omelet a with extra cheese. But for me, this trips star of the show was that massive steak and egg burrito. It comes with tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, and beans, but I added cilantro and onions as well. The burrito was huge, and stuffed with everything stated. There was not one bite that didn't have everything in it. The outside picture does the inside no justice, cause the cross cut shows just how stuffed this burrito was. I'm definitely going to try...
