Broadway Bean and Bagel Co. — Restaurant in Minot

My significant other and i have come here a lot over the past few months and have had an excellent experience nearly every time except for today. We typically get the same drink a couple times a week, so believe me when i say we know what to expect. But today, there was a mix up with the drinks so we took them back because they werent at ALL what we ordered and then this happened a second time! The drinks were still not what we ordered and they were very gross. So the third time, we went up to the counter and explained that, hey we are sorry but the drinks are wrong again. The girl at the counter was VERY sweet about it all. I wish i could have gotten her name. But there was one employee who got visibly upset and told us, "well, i dont know what to tell you." I asked him if he would like to take a drink and tell us if they were frozen mochas. He didnt say anything else to us for the remainder of our stay. The girl from the register got the manager after that and i couldnt believe HOW RUDE he was. He confrontationally asked what the problem was and told us all about how he watched the person make the drinks but that he would make them for us again. When the final drinks were ready, he came up to us saying that "this is the same recipe that we have used for the past 5 years and i even opened a new bag of the mix." When we tasted them, they were right this time so we told him and he threw his arms out and said "GREAT". it was incredibly rude and we left immediately after that because we didnt need to be in that toxic environment anymore. Like i said, we have had a ton of other great experiences there, just today was an exception. We are still going to go there, i just didnt appreciate the staff and even the manager of all people treating us so rudely and acting like...

The coffee is.... OK. This is a good place for people who want to say they're coffee drinkers... But don't like the taste of coffee. The flavor of the coffee... In a latte let's say, is over shadowed easily by too much milk and sweetening. I have tried many of their different kinds and this seems to be the same for all. They just have weak coffee. It's like a Starbucks....a great place for yuppies, soccer moms, beatniks, hipsters and college kids. The environment could be cool.... But it seems that every time I'm in there.... it's full of screaming kids, oil field Dbags talking business and the smell of old ladies. It's ummmm..... Just a locally owned Starbucks. Oh, and the service is slow. Be prepared to wait. Oh.... And the bagels.... Well, nothing special here. If you don't mind paying.... Alot more... For something you can make at home...

There you can easily park off of 17th Ave SW and the entrance is easily within walking distance. When you enter the cafe the vibe is cool and the employees are friendly. The menu has breakfast, lunch, soups , sandwiches, so you will not have a problem finding something to eat. Try the Eggle, which is an egg within the bagel and you can add your choice of meat to add to it. So cool! They roast the coffee on site so you will always get a cup of fresh tasting coffee.
