Read moreI worked at Taco Bell when i was in my teens, so TB is nostalgic to me. I don't eat it often, but when I saw the Volcano menu had returned, I knew it was time to spring into action. The Volcano Box/Menu was huge back when i was a teen in 2008ish.
Upon entry, the greeting I received was, well, I didn't receive one. At all. I got a cold, unfriendly stare from a large black woman, who i thought was possibly a manager (she wore different clothes, not the typical all black but a grey shirt, but not sure if thats just a newer outfit). She stared at me for a moment, while walking around the corner into the abyss of the unknown "back."
Then I stood at the till waiting for my order to be taken. After a minute, one of the other employees told me I had to order from the touch screen, in an annoyed manner. She seemed very frustrated, even though the place was NOT busy at all. The whole atmosphere seemed to screem "go away."
I remember loving the fun and friendly atmosphere of Taco Bell in my teens. But it seems rather void and all the employees seem kind of lazy. Maybe it was just a bad day, but that doesn't give you the right to treat people poorly.
As I stood behind the touch screen kiosk line, I conversed with a nice woman in front of me. I said, chuckling "The service here kind of sucks, doesn't it?" To which she replied, "Yeah, I was just telling her (the girl in front of her - possibly her friend, or maybe not, i don't know) the same thing."
Well, it was my turn to order from the kiosk now, and as I selected the ultimate in burrito cuisine, the DOUBLE BEEF VOLCANO BURRITO (a PERFECT burrito if I don't say so myself), I began to shuffle around in my pockets.
" Oh, man, I hope I didn't forget my wallet..." I mentioned to the woman at the kiosk next to me. I started walking out of the restaurant and got into my 2008 Black Ford Edge. I searched top and bottom, even though I knew I'd have to go home. I never forget my wallet...at least I used to not forget my wallet...
I began my drive home, pondering the thought, "do i go back? Should i go back? I really want a Volcano burrito...this is what I've dreamed of for 15 years!"
As I pulled up to my apartment building, I concluded that l, although greatly desiring the burrito with all my heart, should NOT return, lest I be dealt a double-does of horrible, seething hatred from the eyes of the employees, as they gaze upon me for a second time.
Traveling to Bismarck tomorrow, I concluded that I'd rather give the Bismarck Taco Bell my money, rather than return to the Minot Taco Bell, a three minute drive from my apartment.
This concludes my experience with the Minot Taco Bell. I will not be returning. I shall never be seen gracing the likes of this place with my footsteps nor my money.
Goodby Taco Bell, or should i say, Taco...
Read moreWe had asked for no lettuce and no tomato on our single order we had placed as we were still deciding what else to get and from the very very poor response, unnecessary attitude and incompetence from the current staff we received that was an inconvenient ask, as the single order had already been made. I mentioned allergies to the manager and from the response I received to that, this seemed to be due to either inexperience in the fast food industry, poor management, lack of competence regarding customer service. We all know how this industry works and I understand customers can be inconsiderate but i was immediately cut off, given obvious attitude and interrupted throughout the rest of the order..this is not my first run in with very poor service here.
Review #2 11-24-24 This place never fails to disappoint and it’s usually always the staffs attitude that shuns me away from coming here. I ordered the EASIEST items on the menu, chips n cheese cheese roll up, a strawberry slushy, and Cinnabons. The man taking my order sounded very annoyed and burdened from the start but thats typical, it was the woman who chipped in yelling the 2 sizes of Cinnabons (i asked the sizes and stated that i didn’t have my glasses) then closing with “what size do you want!?” with voice raised in an unfriendly and irritated manner. I said “give me one moment please” and asked yet again immediately after “what size do you want??” From the man. Could’ve sworn there was a line behind me with the pushy attitude but i was the only person in drive thru till i got my food and when i did get my food not a single word was exchanged until i asked what my total was. I said please and thank after every request and they still serve a shitty attitude and yell at customers in response to a...
