I visited Zaxby’s at 6911 Brighton Park Dr., Mint Hill, North Carolina (28227) just an hour ago with my kids. While the food was good, the customer service was highly disappointing. We ordered meals for everyone, and I got drinks for all of us. I mentioned to the staff that I didn’t want soda from the machine and requested lemonade instead. She told me there would be an extra charge of $1, and I agreed to it. After she took the payment, she told me I wasn’t being charged for the lemonade after all, since they charge an extra dollar for the drinks. Later, when I asked for a refill on the lemonade, I was told I couldn’t get it from the machine and that it was “expensive.” I explained that I had already paid for the lemonade, and I requested the same drink that I paid for behind the register. Despite this, I ended up paying an additional $3.75 for the refill. When I gave her $10 to cover the cost, she handed me the change and threw it on the counter instead of handing it to me directly. I reached for the change, but she pushed it away and walked off without a word. The situation worsened when the manager, an older man, became involved. His attitude was dismissive and rude. He said something in a language I understood, implying that I should just leave. When I asked him to clarify, he denied it, even though I clearly heard what he said. The supervisor who tried to resolve the issue was also unhelpful and seemed more concerned with avoiding conflict than addressing the problem properly. Before we went to this location, I had a conversation with my son, who asked, “Who would like to eat Zaxby’s today?” I checked the nearby locations and noticed this one had bad reviews, but I told him, “Let’s check it out—it’s clean, nice, and spacious.” Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed the experience, and it was a disappointing visit. As we were leaving, we still hadn’t received our change or the drink I paid for. I felt so upset and disheartened by the entire experience that I told the staff to keep the money and the drink. We didn’t need anything from them, and we left altogether. I would not recommend this location unless there’s a serious improvement in customer service. It’s clear that the management needs to make significant changes, as this experience left us feeling uncomfortable and undervalued.

Please update hours of operation here at 915 and maps says closes at 10 and all lights are out - door and drive thru both state open until 10 all exterior lights including drive thru menu board out was able to order and get food, I specifically asked if dining room was open and I was told that it closed an hour or two ago - observed all dining chairs on tables - curbed truck tire due to no lighting in the parking lot - the owners of this facility appears to be wanting to be sued for liability with how they are operating - they need to find new management that understands that open until 10 pm means open not everything cleaned and ready to walk out at 10 - will be contacting Zaxby's corporate office to notify them how this operator is conducting their operations because it's not just the franchise that gets sued when someone is hurt or property is damaged but the corporation goes down with that ship as well - someone should really be thinking that hey maybe I should not have a parking lot where someone could fall in the pit h dark or curb tires and mess up their vehicle - you got 1 star for operation practices - that is an absolute failure - look at how employees have ruined the Wendy's across the street until it closed for slackness and you never hear of that fast food chain closing a location especially in as busy of an area as Mint Hill is - just opened my grilled cobb salads neither has a boiled egg - tried to cover up the salad with the fried onion so you wouldn't notice that there is only about a chicken tender of grilled chicken not the usual amount of protein that is on the salad and no bacon on the salad either - will be visiting the new one on Locust from now on they are doing a fantastic job- this location is an absolute failure tonight

Sharing from Facebook Zaxby’s in Mint Hill, I am so sad. I asked my husband to get me a Zensational salad from them. Well - 1st issue: could not understand the person on the speaker. He said it sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher. He says he’ll pull up to the window and order. #2 - gets to window and still can’t understand the young man and what he is saying. He was mumbling not speaking. #3, when he finally understood him, he was told if he is paying cash they can help him at this window, if by any type of card, you HAVE to go inside. This is not good. #4 , hubs goes inside and orders my salad and is told “No”. When asked why, it’s because they are out of the Asian slaw needed to make it. 🤦‍♀️(my hubs panics be cause I don’t have a backup order). So he gets me the Cobb salad and 2 egg rolls. I have avoided this particular Zaxby’s because of issues they seem to have each time I go. They have had staffing issues in the past and I get that. But to only have 4 people (that he could see) 1 at drive thru, 1 at inside counter and 2 cooking, can hurt this location. I will start going back to the one on Albemarle Rd. All done venting but will not return to them. 🥺

Poor service, extremely backed up drive thru and only 4 employees there working on a Sunday for lunch when I was there. My spouse and I went inside to eat. Waited on our order for two people 20minutes (Remember I’m at a fast food restaurant) and there was no one ahead of us in line but 2 customers were waiting on their food as well before we got there. Drink machine broken but employee working the inside register was giving people cups with their orders and not offering to prepare their drinks from behind counter. We had to ask for our drinks to be prepared after discovering the drink machine was broken on our own. Wings were luke warm at best. I was having to tell customers that the drink machine was not working as employee continued to give out cups with no instructions of this. Many customers who were there were disgruntled And unhappy with the service as we heard several talking back and forth about their experience while we were there. Same employee at front Register was also working to prepare food for drive thru line and taking food out to people in their cars and he was on his personal phone a lot. Lots of inappropriate laughter with employee at front and those cooking in the back. Poor attention to details. Apathetic. I’ve had several family and friends tell me they have had the same experience here over past few months and that the drink machine was broken for them too. Extremely disappointed because I really like Zaxby’s food and remember how excited I was when they first came to Mint Hill. Will not be returning here. Honestly feel we should be reimbursed for what we spent On our meals but definitely will Not be back. Poorly managed establishment atleast for the one...
