Showmars Mint Hill — Restaurant in Mint Hill

I have come to this location several times in the past. But after today's visit....NEVER AGAIN!!! For starters my order came out with 2 problems. First my pita had no sauce and my fries were undercooked. Now the waiter got me fresh fries and brought me a cup of sauce. Fries were good. Sauce was in a small cup right out of the refrigerator which made it to thick to spread on an already made pita. So I had dip out of it and that caused my pita to keep falling apart. First couple of bites were ok but further into it the bread started to have a stale taste to it and the meat started tasting like an old frost bitten flavor. Managed to finish about half of it because I needed to eat something before my sugar dropped and then just sat there with a disgusted look about me waiting to see if anyone was going to ask me about my visit. For the remainder of my time there 20 minutes or so... not one worker even seemed concerned that I was sitting there with that look on my face or that I hadn't really eaten more of my food than I had or if I needed anything else. One finally asked if I was ok and I said not really and she kept going .... no...

My preferred location. Some locations have modified menu selections but this one has the standard one. Never have to wait to order more than a couple minutes. Delivered to the table promptly. Wait staff can usually be found when something else or a refill is needed. Everything is cooked well and consistently. Parking lot can get crowded but more nearby parking is available.

11/2024 update. Tonight was out of the ordinary. Still a frequent visitor to this location. Things were a little off. Got the crispy chicken BLT salad. For some reason the chicken was grilled ruining the expected taste. Worse was that cleanliness has been in decline. Sanitation grade is now 95.5. still acceptable but while waiting at the table we noticed the filth on the walk under the window at our table and all the rest. A good layer of dust with multiple hand prints (some from the crew member that cleaned our table and placed his hand on the window sill.) That along with plenty of stains and spills dried on the wall.

6/10/2025 This was our first time at this location. It was busy but not crowded. They take your order at the counter and give you a number to take to whatever table you choose to sit. We chose to sit outside. It was such a nice day, and their patio is covered. We wiped off the seats and table outside. It was just some leaves and a little outside debris. It was really not a big deal for us. The food did not take long before it was delivered to our table. The food was pretty warm. They also bring salt pepper, ketchup, napkins, and eating utensils to your table. I ordered a gyro platter, and my wife ordered a chicken santorini. The gyro, in my opinion, lacks that gyro flavor. The taste has no lamb flavor at all, which I was expecting. They use white onions instead of red onions. I do like the way the tomatoes were sliced. The t-sauce was ok. The pita bread was fresh, soft, and so good. The fries were good seasoned with not too much salt and fried right. My wife said her chicken santorini was good. The customer service was great. The men's bathroom was missing a urinal, but it was clean and...
