Beware of the scammer working here

Most of the employees were nice and greeted me with a smile but beware of the bald dude who claims this place is a premium chipotle. His lackluster burrito rolling skills say otherwise. The burrito fell apart two bites in. He also pulled a fast one by adding double steak and double chicken in addition to the burrito price when two double proteins were not ordered. (Skipped the screen very fast so I could not see it but I did catch it)

I confirmed with him that I only wanted steak on the burrito and a single scoop of chicken on the side. He rushed through the screen and charged me double steak and double chicken after handing me a small scoop of chicken. He thought I didn’t see it since he changed the screen so fast but I did.

I still tipped 18%+ as the other servers were nice and greeted us with a smile.

I even asked the bald guy and he confirmed that I was charged single protein price, later he tried saying I received double steak (not the case as my friend’s burrito had more steak and he was charged for a single serving).

I wanted to mention this bad business practice as it’s about the principle of it.

I would have not left this review if the food was good but it was not worth $22 bucks at all (should have been $16) but figured it was not worth ruining my night over $6 bucks. The employee trying to pull a fast one also did not make the experience better.

If you still choose to go here for a worse experience than chipotle while paying higher prices just make sure to review your bill if the bald guy is ringing you up as he thinks he is slick by switching screens on the customers. He does this fast so the customer does not realize what they were charged for.

I just wanted to point this out so customers aren’t finessed. The receipt does not print itemized so you will not know you have been played till you go on the website and order online.

My friend recently invited us out to a new spot in the area for quick Sunday lunch.

If you're a fan of the assembly-line setup but looking for something beyond the usual, Bubbakoo's Burritos is the place to be! It's true, the assembly line is reminiscent of Chipotle, but that's where the comparisons end, as Bubbakoo's brings its own unique flair to the table.

The first thing that caught my attention was the quality of the ingredients. The freshness of the ingredients, the elevated protein choices, and the generous portions they gave me definitely reminded me I wasn't at Chipotle. I appreciated the range of carriers available for the proteins – a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal even further. The service was lightning-fast, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

Special mention goes to the manager, Nick, who personified exceptional hospitality. His warm presence added to the overall experience, as he came by the table multiple times to check up on us and speak to us about his passion for the brand and also the many locales in South Florida and future expansion plans.

I opted for the Tostada Salad with barbacoa meat. The meat was incredibly juicy and packed with the perfect amount of heat. While the internals of the bowl were great, I must admit that the tostada shell felt a bit stale and lacked the crispy crunch I prefer. However, this minor detail didn't overshadow the overall deliciousness of the dish.

One highlight of the meal was the Love Chips for dessert. These house-made chips, deep-fried to a perfect crisp, were dusted with powdered sugar and then artfully drizzled with raspberry and caramel sauces. An addictive delight that left me craving more. Although this is a shareable size, you will be fighting for the last chip so you may want to order your own!

My plan for the next visit? A burrito with the same scrumptious barbacoa, and definitely, a batch of Love Chips...

I recently dined here with my family for the first time and was blown away by the quality and freshness of the food. The flavors were great, and everything was cooked to perfection.

I ordered a chicken quesadilla which I thoroughly enjoyed. And my family members got two taco trios and the crispy chicken sriracha ranch bacon quesadilla and they all loved it. We also had the opportunity to try the Love Chips were very tasty with drizzled caramel, raspberry sauce and powdered sugar.

To top it all off, the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Everything from the floors to the tables looked like they had been meticulously scrubbed and sanitized. It's clear that the owners take cleanliness seriously, which is always reassuring when dining out.
