I know everyone see the 5 star reviews, high NCLEX pass rate, accreditation and will look forward to the nursing program at FVI (Miramar) just as I did. Its great marketing tactic. Please DO NOT COME. RUN!!! and look for a reputable school, who actually takes interest in their students becoming a good nurse and not just the money coming out of their pockets. The ONLY thing the nursing program has is their NCLEX pass rate IF your even eligible to take it, because they will hold back your paper work and not submit it to the board of nursing even after completing the program if they feel you will jeopardize there NCLEX PASS RATE. If you would like to repeat every semester then come to this school. This school does not NOT care about students or anything they have to say. They GASLIGHT students to make them feel that any of there concerns are invalid and itās the students fault, there is no one to advocate for the students because the nursing administration does not care about the students just a check and there NCLEX PASS RATE. The turn over rate of these professor is ridiculous, and the school does not care if a student has to retake a class every semester. The professors might make the exam but the nusing administration will go in and change it right before the exam and if you have a problem with the exams or did not learn the material being tested its not them itās you. They will NOT do a test analysis for ANY EXAM because they are NEVER wrong. Even in the last semester (Concept 4) since they care SO MUCH about their NCLEX PASS rate you would think they will prepare the students for it, they do not. The last semester they test to see what you know but no preparation for the actually NCLEX, or the exams given that semester. In the last semester (Concept 4), You are paying over $10,000 for the salary for professor that does NO Teaching, does NOT make the exams, does NOT know what on the exams to even help students be successful in the class. She is just there to answer questions thatās were your tuition went for that semester. This nursing program expects so much from the students but do so little to even to have students meet their expectation. The nusing administration DOES NOT and WILL NOT take accountability for anything. Overall, this is just another money-making nursing school in FL that happened to become accredited and has a great marketing team. Most of these reviews are from new students now entering and prior students who took the NCLEX already and have been asked to put good reviews up! GOOD Luck...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is for the RN admissions process. My enrollment representative was Kimberly Weinstein (Miramar location), and I couldnāt have asked for a better enrollment representative. Thanks to Kim, the admissions process was very smooth and easy.
I called the school LATE October, and the very next day I had appt. with Kim over zoom, she explained the process as well as answered all my questions. She followed-up with each and every step of the way until the admissions was complete. I am happy to say I will be STARTING in January 2022.
Few pointers on admission for RN applicants: Wonderlic Test (think passing score is 16 ⦠super easy. I used nursehub practice test day before. There is plenty of practice tests on Quizlet too) and TEAS Test (CUMULATIVE score 55 or 58. You do not have to pass each section w specific score). No letters of recommendation and no personal essay (but they have few short questions ⦠its very basic).
Beware, there is this COMPLIO database used to document proof of immunizations and background check ⦠its time consuming to get all the documents so keep that in mind. For this section, Armelle guided me with COMPLIO compliance. And she was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and patient.
Other schools do not have open enrollment and their admissions process is like standing in a line at DMV ⦠takes forever. Its been months since I applied for Broward College, and still no response and no updates from them (neither an email nor a call). Although I did not apply to Kaiser University, I did speak to their admissions representative and the earliest I could get in was September 2022 or January 2023. I'm just saying there is always some delays, misunderstandings and communication problems and waiting lists, but not with FVI.
FYI I am from NYC and did my prerequisites at a local community college. Even from NYC the process was smooth, and all my credits got transferred (24 credits). Most important for me was getting INTO the RN program (I was not looking just to be accepted in a school, I was looking for acceptance only into the RNprogram). I hope the RN program will be as good as their admissions. Thank you, Kim and Armelle as well as the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you're reading this, it's a sign that you should begin your career in the healthcare field and that FVI School of Nursing is the right place. To begin, I can say that it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Last year, I began the Medical Assistant Program, and the entire process has been rewarding. Since I began the process with the help of Ana Bandera, an excellent and very professional person who explains everything related to the program in a simple and straightforward manner, in a matter of days, everything was ready to begin. The program is very well structured and focused on training you as a well-prepared medical assistant and helping you to pass the exams to obtain the NRCEKG, NRCMA, and NRCPT certifications. It includes online and laboratory classes, covering all aspects of the program as well as the support of Vanesa and Alessandra, the career service team, who will assist you once the time comes to complete your externship. The teachers are the best part. I was fortunate to have the best: Professor Dr. Rolando Perez. If you come with the idea of āālearning, then you've found the right teacher. His classes are 100% participatory, so you won't finish the class with any doubt and best of all, you can always count on his help; he will simply push you to go far. Professor Nina, she is a box of surprises; you'll love having her as a teacher; she makes you feel safe and confident that you'll achieve your goals. And then there's Miss Daisy. A whole day wouldn't be enough to explain how grateful I am to have had her. She is not just a master of her subjects but an inspiration to all who have the privilege of learning from her. She's like a mother who wants to see you fulfill your dreams, and believe me, she'll do everything in her power to make you achieve them. So, FVI School of Nursing and Technology is not just a school,...
