Heritage Meeting House — Restaurant in Mishawaka

I've now been to this establishment over 4 times and overall I enjoy the chill atmosphere, the coffee as well as the book selections. It's nice to get out and chat with my close friend while sipping our drinks and admiring the naturistic decor. Would've given 5 stars but the customer service can be inconsistent. The young ladies working there are hard workers and most are polite and welcoming except one specific girl who gives off the impression that she absolutely hates working the register based off my two separate experiences placing my order with her. The baristas behind the counter with a very interesting look weren't friendly, and their attitude was honestly off putting. They made comments about my trans-partner's appearance, which made us feel uncomfortable in the space. Everyone behind the counter seemed more interested in being on their phones than providing warm food or good service. Before today I had only been once before and when they were less than a year old. Today I went with my 6 month old daughter to get out of the house a little. It was very nice! I read her some books and I did some writing. I ordered a coffee and bagel and it did take quite a while to get both. But luckily I had nothing but time so it didn’t bother me.
