This one will be in the pros and cons list style because I feel it will be more effective. I will say we have a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers (14,13,13). The total including drinks was $64.15, which I feel is very reasonable these days.
PROS: The price is very reasonable for the current times. There are a lot of different food choices. There is an ice cream machine, just chocolate and vanilla. They have duck sauce, and that's a huge win for me personally. The inside has small trinkets for sale, which is fun. Big parking lot. No fish smell when you walk in. They do a good job keeping the food treats full and switching them when they are empty. The wait staff cleared the plates from the table promptly. Both times we came here, we received a $5.00 off coupon for a return visit.
CONS: The temperature of the food is warm, but since a buffet, it is never really HOT. They only have Pepsi products... No hot tea option. I DO NOT SUGGEST THE FRUIT. We tried it both times, and it just was not good. Although they have soft serve ice cream, they did not have cones either time we went. I feel that there are too many seafood dishes as well, but that is just a personal thing mostly.
OVERALL: We will likely return, but I am going to be completely honest. The reason for the return business is because of the price being so reasonable. The food is only mediocre at best. but in the financial crisis our country is dealing with currently, mediocre is what...
Read moreI went here 2 days ago with my grandmother for the first time since the pandemic , we were truly amazed . I know a few friends who were slightly taken back by how now you have to point at the food you want at the buffet and they feel rushed from what they told me . But when I went in there what I saw was an ingenious display that made me and my grandmother feel safe to eat here versus any other restaurant in the surrounding area and next to cities around us and the servers have no problem at all giving you a huge serving you just have to ask for it and they give it to you no judgment . You have plexiglas in between you and other tables which helps with not having other peoples air come into your air , clean soda fountain grab a new cup every time , everything being wiped and constantly cleaned and the looks of the restaurant is like big panda + . Don’t even get me started on the food quality , I think since they were closed for that amount of time they took a step back to take two forward and improved a lot of there recipes for there food it was so good! All of the workers look at you with the warmest of smiles and are super devoted to making you feel welcome . The year is 2020 , the fact that an all you can eat buffet can be open and be above par on cleaning than other restaurants I’ve been to is truly impressive . Thanks big panda I love you guys and I hope that everything is going good for you and your...
Read moreIt's much better than most other small Chinese buffet places- the food is of better quality, at least as much as buffets in this area can be.
The experience is quite nice: you walk in and go to the counter on your right, state how many will be dining in, they give you a cute little coupon, and they set you loose. You can sit anywhere you like, just not on top of other people. I like this. I have not known this to be a thing in Chinese buffets.
You "help yourself to the drinks" as told to me by the cute Asian American at the counter. I love that. No need to scream out and wait around for some service, you just do your own thing while employees come around and pick up your plates almost the second you push it aside for the next round. Oh, they have soft serve ice cream machine! The chocolate side works! Only downside is that there isn't that big of a selection compared to the Hibachi Grill farther north.
The women's bathroom is relatively clean, the toilets are quite high up, so if you're shorter it might be a little struggle (I was 5'8" wearing high heels, long legs, and even I noticed this). The roof of the bathroom is beautiful, I came back to it with my phone this time to take a picture. Daydream.
I think they're selling Chinese trinkets in the front of the restaurant, too. Things like the "Lucky Cat", cheap fluffy hats, etc. Very cute.
Overall, I would...
