Our recent visit to Jet’s Pizza Mishawaka turned into a horrendous experience that I feel compelled to share. We ordered an eight-corner pizza with half veggie and half aloha chicken, along with wings and drinks. The ordeal began when I took the first bite of the aloha chicken portion and discovered an unidentified thread-like object in my mouth, resembling a rat's tail (refer to the attached picture).
Disturbed by this find, I immediately brought it to the attention of the staff at the counter. The girl handling the situation took the object to show it to her manager, leading to a 10-minute discussion. To my disbelief, we were given two options: either receive a replacement pizza or be reimbursed for only HALF of the original pizza cost. Their rationale was that the object was found solely in the HALF portion of the pizza.
This seemed like a tasteless joke, but unwilling to engage in an argument, we opted for a new pizza. Moreover, when I requested the thread back for additional photographic evidence, I was informed it had been discarded in the trash. Despite my insistence on retrieving it for a formal complaint, the staff displayed reluctance. Fortunately, I had taken a picture earlier, which is attached for your reference.
Our ordeal continued as we waited an additional 20-30 minutes for the replacement pizza. Upon its arrival, we were dismayed to find that they had only given us a 4-corner pizza (HALF of a pizza), thus reinforcing their illogical reimbursement offer based on the location of the object.
I strongly caution against visiting this establishment and urge the management to take immediate action. A full refund is warranted given the distressing encounter and the inadequate response...
Read moreThis place is terrible. Their pizza is decent, but the service is terrible and the owner is a pompous jerk. We called the store 3 times because they charged my debit card wrong and to make sure our pizza was for carryout due to a time restraint and the delivery time being close to an hour. (mind you, the order was for carryout before they charged me for delivery as well and they said 20 min). After all this and driving over there, they STILL sent the pizza out for delivery and an hour later, still not even at my house. Then when I called and spoke to Mike, he tells me he refunded my delivery charge (wow....$3, which is a rip off and shouldn't have been charged in the first place). When I told him everything STILL wasn't delivered after all this, his response was "I don't know what you expect me to do." In the rudest voice I've ever heard. Oh, I don't know Mike - apologize for your mistake (considering the number of calls to confirm and you still got it wrong) and remedy the situation. When I said I wasn't paying for it, he said "You already did" and then the pizza STILL never came. I then called back and asked for a manager, he then proceeded told me he was the owner. I then laughed and politely ended the call. Thank god I got a receipt when going in so I can fix it if he still tries to charge it. What a joke. Read moreNow I would normally give this location a good review. However my most recent order has proven otherwise, or maybe it was an off day. Either way. I placed an order back on 8/6/21 at 6:40pm through the text to order. After 5mins I received a confirmation text stating my eta was 35mins. Around 7:19pm I get another text stating that my order would now be delivered at 8:07pm. Then I get yet another text at 8pm stating that my order was now cancelled and could not be processed at the restaurant. So needless to say I give the store a call to find out what’s going on. Not only was I hung up on twice, but I was then told it wasn’t their problem, it’s DoorDash and hung up on a third time. Well I didn’t order through DoorDash. So the next day since it was already so late I call again and speak to the manager whom was very nice, apologized, and stated there was nothing he could do. I then called DoorDash which said it wasn’t them either so I called corporate and was told to fill out a form and someone would call me in 5-7 days. Well it is now going on 3 weeks, multiple phone calls, voicemails, and 2 forms of not hearing from anyone and I have yet to receive my $31.52 back.
