Ritter's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Mishawaka

Had the pleasure of stopping in and ordering 2 weeks ago, I ordered the walking taco and the hot dog with chili... The hot dog's were Nathan's brand and the caught my eye... I received the hot dog with a mild chili sauce, it was luke warm with unmelted cheese on top. As I dug into my walking taco it had the same chili sauce with frito lats under it and unmelted cheese as a topping. I'd suggest some sour cream, lettuce or Pico as additional toppings for flavor. The old school flavors are a plus when looking for authentic dishes. Additional toppings or selections would enhance and broaden your customer base.. 3 stars, on my first visit. I come here quite often for custard. I usually love their flavors. Today I ordered a scoop of their featured chocolate covered banana and the flavor combination was not done well. It was very unpleasant. I took one bite and asked if I could get something else. The staff said they would have to charge me for an additional ice cream. Very disappointed because me and my family are frequent customers and it would have been a simple fix for a great experience. Basically I gave them $4 for nothing of value in return. I'm not giving this less than 3 stars because the staff were very friendly and I usually am happy with...

Any time I visit the area, Ritter's Frozen Custard is an absolute must. I love buying a pint or quart for the friends that I'm visiting or staying with, and I also tend to indulge with a treat for myself. The Peanut Butter Mountain Sundae is swoon-worthy with a vanilla custard covered in peanut butter sauce and broken Reese's cups. I never regret a bite of this amazing custard. One of my other particular favorites is their peach custard--so delicious.
