I walked in today in dire need of coffee after a long day of moving the day prior. I asked for a sample of their 3 coffees, and WOW. Fresh, hot, extremely flavorful, low acidity, and they even have a flavored roast. Today it was Coconut Creme. Man, it was excellent. And I tried a savory herb cheddar biscuit with it and I was impressed at the fresh and moist quality rather than the typical dry and dull I've come to expect from many local cafes and coffee houses. There is no better place for coffee, customer service, or healthier snacks and food options in Mishawaka or South Bend. The key words I'd use to describe this business are 1. Quality: nothing they offer is lacking in love and care or high quality ingredients. 2. Care: genuinely greeted with sincere smiles and quick service, without fail, every time, 3. This building was originally a bank and sat empty for years, then in 2017 the Little Black Dog opened up a small Cafe offering food and coffee in a shared workspace building called 101Co3. In late 2018 the Little Black Dog closed and I was very disappointed. A few months later a new Cafe opened up called The Wholesome Package, being that this building is close to my house I was determined to try it and see how they measured up to their prior occupants. The Wholesome Package has exceeded my expectations, a larger drink and food menu, premade ready to go chilled lunch boxes which is how they got their start. Customer service is always very personable and friendly. The warm and hot food is made before your eyes.
