Big River Burrito Company — Restaurant in Mission Hill South Township

Horrible, food is not what it used to be and service has gone way down hill. When you first walk into the place it looks like just about any other place which is not bad. When they first opened the place the food was good quality at a reasonable price for a good amount. Now the steak has a ton of nerves in it, it's tough or it looks like it's been overcooked and like it's shredded. They charge for just about any additives you want (which used to be included in the price of the burrito) and the prices are not posted where one can see them. Overall I feel the food is way too expensive for what they charge or a decent burrito should cost.

The people used to smile, be attentive and very friendly also willing to make the customer happy. Now they are rude, do not smile and treat you like your just a number. I don't know if it's the new management who has let it go down hill or just the fact that like everything else they want to only focus on making a dollar out of a dollar or the combination of both but I know they have lost one loyal customer. I went there expecting a cheap Chipotle Rip off… Who would of guessed that is the opposite of what I got! I consider Chipotle the rip-off of my brand new favorite restaurant the Big Burrito Company (BBC for short). Service was amazing as I was able to order my meal of cheese, ranch, side of beans, more ranch, and ground beef in a corn tortilla drizzled in a ranch sauce. The place is beautiful decorated in a warm mind-bending beige color. I liked that they stuck to playing the song “Funky Town” by Lipps Inc. on repeat the entire time I was there. This place is a must if your in the Yankton area. Food was great taco’s, nachos, huge burrito& bowls. Very friendly staff. Clean from top to bottom. You can build your own master piece out of the freshest ingredients. Meats , veggies , choice of rice and beans. Great variety of hot sauces and ingredients. The jalapeño bacon queso is off the charts. I had a bowl with chicken and pork, add all my toppings and it was delicious.
