Let me start by saying we originally we really enjoyed coming to this place. It's good food with quick service and close to our home - a great convenience. However a couple weeks ago we had an awful dining experience that has completely changed our mind about coming back to this restaurant.
When we come here we pretty much always get the same meals- I get a bowl of pho and my partner gets Com Bo Luc Lac with steamed rice (beef and rice). We placed our usual order with the waiter, but he did not write down our order. This always makes me nervous and sure enough when our food was brought out we received two bowls of pho. I spoke up so that we can correct our order, he took the food back and placed a rush order for Com Bo Luc Lac. When the meal was brought out it was with butter rice, we asked if we could just get a bowl of steamed rice, the waiter said they ran out (which is highly questionable to me because it was like 7pm and when we originally placed the order with steamed rice it wasn't an issue). Upon eating the beef, it was completely raw inside making it inedible. At this point I had finished my pho and my partner still had barely anything to eat. I brought it up to another waiter in the restaurant and he said I need to tell our original waiter and when I bought it up to our waiter and he said sorry but next time we should ask for the steak to be cooked well done. Now we have been to this restaurant many times before ordering the same thing over and over and not once have we ever needed to ask for the steak to be cooked well done. It was completely disrespectful and insulting to turn it around and blame it on us. When we asked for the check the waiter still charged us for the meal even though my partner had barely eaten it!
I would never just write a negative post without notifying the establishment first so that they can have an opportunity to make it right, however its been a week since I have contacted them to let them know about our experience. I really hope that others who frequent this restaurant are not treated this way because it really is...
Read moreThe food was quite good here. My bf got combination pho if I remember correctly and the broth was fantastic! Very flavorful and rich, but not oily like some places make.
I ordered a chef's special with soft egg noodles and combo of beef, chicken and shrimp. Asked to exclude broccoli and onions and they made it exactly as ordered. Such a yummy dish, I finished almost an entire plate despite the generous portion. Boyfriend helped with it of course and we both loved it.
I also got small filet pho to go for next day lunch, and unfortunately when I had it at home, the meat didn't taste fresh, so I had to dispose of it. The broth was still amazing though and the bean sprouts were fresh.
I took off 1 star for cleanliness of the restaurant, but it's typical for fast pace Vietnamese eateries to not stay spotless. Also I don't recommend filet, but we'll be back for another types of pho and their delightful stir fry.
Service was 50/50. One server was nice and friendly, while the other couldn't...
Read moreReally enjoyed eating at this casual noodle/grill house. From the name you can tell they don't take themselves too seriously. But don't let that fool you. With nice portions of Pho offered around 7.50/8.50$ this place isn't too hard on the wallet either. Ordering is made easier with a picture menu showing the meats and toppings offered for Pho. So you just match what you want with the topping. They have both egg and the more traditional rice based noodles. Service is casual, but being an open restuarant it's easy to flag someone down politely. We like to wrap and eat crunchy egg rolls in lettuce. It was no problem to get more to finish our order. The hardest part of this meal is parking. With a Starbucks close it can be busy, but there is often a space open that's close. If you like Pho or Vietnamese grill I suggest you...
