Today I discovered one nail on my front tire. Show up around 4pm for a tire repair. I was told by "James" (in theory, store manager) that was a car ahead of me and will take 20min to start. I ask because I was very tired from a long day of work. 30 min later I return to the store, and my car has not moved. Just sit and wait about 10 more min while one employee just rambles to a customer like they are in front of the ocean enjoying a summer day. James show up and drives my car to the back of the store. By now is about 40min and I go to the back and I see my car lift w/3 floor jacks instead of the two post car lift (I wonder if he damaged my car by doing so?). Go back to the front and ask him why is taking so long and he starts to ramble about time, appointments & a bunch of non-sense, including things like "he knows my type", "that what makes me think that they have to drop all other work to service me", "that I am entitled"... I just keep repeating to him each time that I am just quoting what he told me about being 20min to take the car and is 40min and the car has nothing done (other than improperly being lift). He gets to change argument so many times, even after I explain that in my line of work (just because he ask me) if I miss a deadline they will ask for explanations too. It was so much non-sense that I tell him "you just told me 20min!" raising my voice out of the exasperation of being BS directly on my face. He told me to get out of the store that the car will be done soon. Out of contrition for raising my voice a tiny bit, I comply and go out. But I decided to go to the back, to look the work that is being made (since he is doing so on the parking lot), and I just find him just telling his buddy at the shop the story all distorted (this is the guy that refill my air when I went the second time, that I have a very pleasant experience with). He goes out of the store onto the parking lot (where he is "rigging" my car), and he told me that I cannot be there (outside the store, in a public space). I say that I am in the parking lot and I want to see what he is doing. He is not looking trustworthy anymore. He yell at me that regulations state that I must be 25 foot away from the store (yes, sure, in a parking lot! That is for smoking, by the way...). I am not taking an ounce of BS anymore, and I defy him to show me where is the sign stating that. He gets even more mad, and tell me to take the key, that he is refusing the service (!!). I am going to the front while stating that I want to talk to the manager, and he screams that is the manager, and to take my key for the car and leave. Of course I said no, that he has to take the car to the front and I will take the key there. Claims again that is the manager, and he offer me a phone number of his manager (really? Cannot get hold of this person at all, maybe is his prank buddy, God only knows..). In all, after 60min wait, I need to go to another store and pay for a repair that I do not know how much was going to be for not buying the tires on such store. If a store manager is such an incompetent, rude and lying piece of homo-sapiens, imagine what could happen to you if you take your car there under his care. By the way, I took my car to the shop closer to my home, and was charged nothing for the tire repair (I found out two tires with nails. This piece of work of "James" was only inspecting one tire, we has definitely missing the other one). Moral of the story: I believe that American Tire Depot started to have an influx of appointments to his shop and other more lucrative deals, and decided to skip my turn or do something very questionable (as lifting the car from one corner only, instead of using the proper frame lift), invent some regulations to not let me see what was going on by his shoddy work, and finally refusing the service that he had to perform. Lost about 1h of my time, but giving this deserving awful review in exchange. Will look into complaining to the chain store also. He is not manager...
Read moreWhile having a Bad run on Luck recently, My Brakes decided to go out on me. Also I had Lost my Phone 4 days prior in the Parking Structure at work. (Thank you coworkers for turning it in to lost and found. Oh wait! You kept it! Karma baby Karma.) So not having internet access amd not one to have auto troubles decided to go to Via Fineza and Alicia and then drive very slowly looking for a Repair Shop that looked Honest or at least comfortable to sit and wait for N Brake Job to be finished. I saw American Tire Depot. 3 cars in the lot, and I thought, it fits what I'm looking for. I went in and was met by Tim the Manager. He and the "Guys" looked like good happy guys and Uniformed and looked you in the eye when speaking polite and I thougjt You Found What you wanted and the Motherlode at that!!! I was seated in the Lounge saw the remote and TV and watches for a bit and then Tim have me the low down on my Brakes and tires. My Tires weren't rotated and its been 2 yrs+. Rear tire has a screw to close to edge to repair so I fill it to 55 lbs and fill it 24 hrs later at 25lbs. Tim was Honest and only said I should get ready to get new ones. Brakes were $100.00 more than I had brought. Needed xtra work. So I walked to the ATM at the corner 15 min walk. The ATM wouldn't allow me to get more than 20. I needed $100. No pay phones to call anyone. Went back to truck and explained my perdicerment offered what I had and I return to get truck in the morning. I felt stupid as hell. 58 man no $ or truck. Tim was awesome enough to call Lyft for me to get home. Thank God as I wore flip flops. If ida gone to any other store or shop I wouldn't have met The AWESOME Staff at American Tire Depot. They will definitely be seeing me for all my future repairs. Hands Down a Great Experience and felt comfortable even tho I probably looked pretty close to Homeless. No phone and a pretty empty backpack torn jeans and flip flops. Wow! Thanks Again Tim for all the extra time and energy you spent making a New...
Read moreTried to scam me for an alignment that they didn't do. Worst customer service and wont take responsibility over mistakes they've made.
Brought my daughter's Lexus LX470 to get all four tires replaced and an alignment done. When I picked up the vehicle I requested for the alignment printout, Sergio could not provide me with one. He insisted that it was done and I can take it back anytime if there was a problem. I then insisted that he provide me with it because I want to see if there are any suspension components that need attention. Sergio went to the alignment rack and spoke to this other guy that works the front desk as well and he gave Sergio a piece of paper. Sergio printed it out and handed it to me. After looking through the printout, I realized that he had given me a printout for a Hyundai with a different VIN. I called Sergio back and requested for the correct one and he had me go back to the shop to pick it up. When I got to the shop, he handed me a printout with the top portion empty and told me that their computer doesn't allow for the top portion to be reflect the VIN and vehicle model when it did with the Hyundai printout that he gave me 40 minutes ago. Also on the printout, it shows having 1.5 degrees on both rear wheels when the LX470 is a solid rear axle!!! I then demanded for my money back and all of a sudden, their attitudes changed. Wouldn't take responsibility and told me that they weren't perfect so I should just move on because they are refunding me. What they don't understand is that I was lucky enough to know about cars and I caught this but how many customers are out there being taken...
