Wow what an dirtbag working at this location. Shame. We live right around the corner and frequently visit at least twice a week and our first time seeing this employee. We ordered two cups of HOT coffee Estatic. We made sure the cashier wrote it in the notes too since it normally comes iced. We buy their whole beans all the time from their other location before and a frequent customer, so I know their coffees well. But I noticed the big tall guy made it Iced so this sweet girl (braids and gray tshirt) with GOOD customer service said she was happily remaking it for us. So when they finished the remake, it was the big guy with ponytail yelling out āMegan!!,ā which isnāt my name. I send my husband up to pick up the drinks and he kept saying here is your āiced hot coffeeā with a really BAD attitude. He said it at least 3 times. I was not going to let him get away with it for HIS mistake. So I went up to him at the counter and said donāt be rude in front of all the customers because he needs to get his attitude in checked. He then reply in a mocking way āyeah enjoyed your iced hot coffee!ā I was shocked because he continued treating us with a horrible attitude after I told him that how he reacted was wrong. What is wrong with him? Seriously for your mistake to a good paying customer?! I sure hope this manager really considers firing him because having a toxic employee working in a good establishment really brings bad business. I know what Iām talking about because I own successful retail stores and I only hire and keep good employees. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a long-time fan of Philz Coffee, consistently drawn to their unique blends and welcoming atmosphere. However, my recent visit was deeply marred by an encounter with an extremely unprofessional staff member.
On this visit, there was a mix-up with my order, where I received an iced coffee instead of the hot coffee I had requested. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, when I politely pointed out the error, the employee with long hair responded with mockery and disdain, openly ridiculing me in front of other customers. This behavior was shocking and completely out of line.
What's more, when I calmly confronted him about his inappropriate behavior, his response was to yell and scream at us, using extremely offensive language and even telling us to leave the store. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any customer service environment, especially from a brand I have come to love and respect.
I am deeply disappointed by this incident. It not only ruined my experience but also made me question my patronage of Philz Coffee. I hope the management takes appropriate action to ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and kindness...

So he asked, āiced or hot.ā I pondered this as I am naturally and cold drinker with a history of cold brew use. I was also a barista and the worst iced coffee is straight hot coffee over ice. I asked him about this. āWe fast dry our hot to cool drinks.ā I believed it lol.
As predicted, it came out water-filled, diluted, and tasteless due to the hot coffee melting the ice. Oh! And my simple iced coffee had a weird foam that I didnāt ask for.
