Update: Willy B’s reversed the charges to our credit card without any prompting or me asking. I appreciate them taking care of that. —————
I would rate the food but we walked out empty-handed. Instead I’ll rate my experience:
We are not from Jackson, but we were here visiting our daughter, son-in-law, and their new baby. We placed an online order at 3:45pm on Sunday for pickup that same day at 5:45pm. The plan was to bring the new family a nice dinner and have a visit with them. They asked us to be there at 6:00 to coordinate with our granddaughter’s feeding and sleep schedule.
When we arrived on site the staff appeared as if they weren’t expecting us. A few minutes later they told us our order was in the kitchen and would be out shortly. The order was three blue plates, one seafood basket and two appetizers, totaling around $120.
As we waited, another person who was also waiting for their carry-out order was approached by one of the staff. They came and apologized to the other patron as it appeared they had given their food to someone else and they were going to have to remake it. I thought “That sucks, but nice of them to own it.” I was also impressed with the speed in which they remade the order. I believe they even gave them free deserts.
We continued to wait, watching the person get their re-make, as well as seven other carry-out customers come and go. We also watched at least two parties come, dine in, and leave. We waited patiently as the staff continued to approach us, saying our order was in the kitchen. One of the staff even offered the excuse that sometimes online orders don’t make it in. Despite that, my credit card showed a hold for the charge so I felt that a weak excuse at best. I was also struck that, despite an apology to the other patron who’s food was released to the wrong customer, we simply were told the same thing over and over, “it’s in the kitchen.”
At 7:00pm, after having waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes, we simply got up and walked out empty handed even though the food was already paid for. Perhaps the food came out within a few minutes after we left, and perhaps they would have attempted to make it right if I had stuck around, but after over an hour, I was not in the mood to have a conversation or eat the food. Instead we brought takeout from The Juicy Crab to our kids. We ended up eating at 9 instead of 6.
As we continue to come to Jackson to visit our kids, I don’t think we’ll be giving Willy...
Read moreIf I had the option to give zero stars, I would. My party of 6 arrived at 8:20 on a Saturday evening and were told they wouldn't close until 10pm so we'd have plenty of time to eat. Our server asked "to take a breath" while ordering our drinks and appetizers, ultimately turning the tablet around to a girl in my party and saying "here, you do it." She then walked off while we placed our own drink orders. Our server finally came back to take our entrée orders in which she ended up pulling a chair over and sitting with us at our table and talking about her personal life for 45 minutes before leaving to put our orders in. An hour later, 3 of us get some of the food we ordered - turns out we actually got another tables food but we had to eat it because restaurant protocol would not allow send backs. The three who received food received only the steak or the side salad, never all together or with the ordered sides of asparagus, shrimp, etc. The other three of us never got our food. At this point, it's 10:30 (a half hour after the restaurant closed) and half our table has yet to receive food. We tried to negotiate our final receipt total where the waitress again handed the receipt to one of the girls in our party to divide up and negate whatever items on her own. As we were leaving, we overheard the servers talking poorly of us saying we got our food and then refused to pay. One member of our party tried to at least compliment the manager saying "the food I was able to eat tasted really good" and the manager retorted with "I'm sure it was after you got all of that money taken off of it." We will absolutely never return and we have been informing all of our friends of our horrid...
Read moreI do not recommend for all!!!!! My experience wasn’t very pleasant. Sadly , I wasn’t acknowledged after standing in the establishment to pick up my to go order for about 10 -15 minutes. 2 white guys walk in and are immediately greeted and seated. One of the guys was polite enough to say, no ma’am she was here before we arrived . The waitress then just looked at me . I stated I have a to go order. She says someone will be with you shortly and continued to seat the guys. I stood there a few more minutes in disbelief, before walking out. I exited the building and began bagging out of my park. Another lady then comes out with a plate and says is this you. I responded, I’m not sure I was never acknowledged. She confirmed my name and said yes this is yours come on back in . I was grabbing your silverware. Which I know was lie , because I had never been asked my name or order. I returned into the establishment, then asked did I have a beverage I stated yes she said let me grab it. She came back with the beverage sat the plate near the counter and said someone will cash you out in a moment. I stood there , no one ever came to take my payment. I placed the tea down and left. I then called back to inform management and was told oh no we don’t do that everyone is the same here, but I’ll investigate. How I wish that was true. Needless to say I don’t believe this issue will be addressed. I love all people and treat all people equally. I’m just appalled and disappointed. Cudos to the customer who tried to...
