After a hectic day my family and I decided to order Applebees to go for a quick takeout meal, which me and my wife have enjoyed eating here for 20+ years, We ordered online and made the 45 minute drive from hamilton to missoula, arrived right on time for when the order said ready for pickup. I walked in leaving my wife and two tired and cranky toddlers in the car thinking this would be pick up and off we go, I was told the order wasn't ready yet which was no big deal, I get staffing shortages lately, i work in customer service we all have them. I waited around about 25 more minutes thinking any minute our food would be ready, I was told by the hostess I need to go look through the to-go bags on the counter and see if any were mine... somewhat annoyed and not feeling like it was really my place to do this I went up and looked through the bags which seemed very unsanitary to be digging through other people's food bags to see that none of them were our order. I sat back down in the waiting area with the family waiting in the car. After about 20 more minutes of waiting I was approached by a young employee to be told that my order was picked up 30 minutes ago by someone else, Somewhat flustered by the wait time and that my order was still not ready and missing, I asked well that wasnt me that picked it up obviously, how can this be resolved? I was immediately met with a "there's nothing we can do and you're just gonna have to wait for a new order which is going to be a while there's nothing we will or can do about this." Extemely flustered and 50 minutes of waiting at this point and two toddlers screaming in the car I go outside and tell my wife the situation and she agrees to switch with me waiting in the car and she will wait for the food inside, she informs them we're waiting on our order and they say let me go talk to the manager, the manager never comes out to see the problem or look for a resolution. Soon they come back and say yeah it'll be ready soon and still no resolution which is now an hour past pick up, finally our order is received and on the way home from this hellish Applebee's experience. Seems like management doesn't care about customer satisfaction or resolving problems, you may get a free desert but no resolution to your actual problems. Time for management...
Read moreSad, Applebees has always been one of my families favorites but this experience caused us to put a hold on ever coming back. Upon entering the hostess had a horrible demeanor, I thought him not speaking and being kind of flail like was maybe anxiety but once seated I noticed the needle marks on his arm and the insane amount of sweat dripping from his hair. After that uncomfortable experience we had a waitress who took our order per usual yet it took an insane amount of time to receive anything let alone our drinks. I understand the pressure the food industry endures on a daily basis but to have poor service straight off the dock and then to add waitresses who are standing around and then to have many open tables- was beyond me the least we could’ve gotten was our drinks. Anyways it gets better as we sat there we watched a few people around us spit out their food, leave without order due to watching everyone else, complain about their tables/service etc. When we finally did end up getting our food and such we didn’t even get silverware and had to wait another 20ish minutes to get that. Finally when we could eat it was a bummer, my broccoli in my chicken Alfredo had what looked like mold was on it and the meal was cold- the meal had a hard layer as if it was sitting there for a while which baffles me because why did I have to wait an hour for my food just to get it cold and dry? My partners burger had a hair in it and our appetizer was burnt. Do better- Upon the gut wrenching food the flies were unmanageable- there was a sticky residue on my table including a wiped booger on the seat next to me and food under the table to step in. I am highly upset we waisted $70 on horrible service, uncleanliness, rancid food, and just poor energy in general. You guys will just hire...
Read moreWe haven't eaten at the Missoula Applebee's for years because of a bad experience. We got a gift card for there s decided to give it another try. It was such a disappointment! To start off with we stood and waited at least 5 minutes to be seated. There was no one hostessing. People were lining up and there was no one around. First impression was the place looked dirty, front door, hostess area, and there were at least 10 tables that needed to be bussed. We were finally seated, looked over the menu and ordered. We got the Lime Chicken and Chicken Tender meal. Our salads came and we had no silverware. Our waiter went to get some and never came back. I finally went to the bar and asked for some. Finally, when we were almost done with our salads, he asked us where we got our silverware? He said that he had been waiting for some because they didn't have any clean silverware! Really? I told him I got tired of waiting and went to the bar. He then brought out our meal. The Chicken Tender dinner was cold and the fries were hard, dry and cold. My Lime Chicken tasted like it was a TV dinner. It was gross! The rice tasted like a box mix. Our whole experience was so disappointing....what a joke! Our waiter never asked us how our meal was or if we needed anything. Thru our whole meal tables were not bussed until we were almost done. A girl came out and moved all the dirty dishes from several tables onto one table. Then some guy came out and started to carry armloads of dishes into the back. All I could see was poor management and lack of proper training in this establishment. We have eaten at the one in Great Falls, MT and it was pretty nice. The Missoula location should close its doors or get a new manager!...
