NEVER AGAIN. Im tired of pulling in before closing to an open sign and lit menu only to be told by rude employees that their boss said they could close early. This was the third time this has happened. Also, they charge extra for what is typically considered regular flavoring, theyve cut that in half so in order to get what you're used to, you pay extra. Ive owned a coffee stand in Missoula and cant imagine how this place is run. May I recommend The Break for an evening coffee...they stay open until closing time, good coffee, proper pricing. City Brew is awful
12/17/22 Addendum: since things have started to return to normal in the service industry, I've noticed a significant change in service quality at the store on brooks. I still feel City Brew is very over priced and the beans don't taste fresh. After years of being in the coffee business the coffee i served was top shelf, freshly roasted, yet almost half the price City Brew charges. I had customers who'd drive across town just to get our coffee. Quality and service being our top priority. Every stand i go to in missoula uses the appropriate amount of flavoring (most use a shot glass to measure). Each size cup should come with an adequate # of shots (i.e. 12 oz - two shots, 16 oz - three shots, 20 oz - four shots, etc). Im getting a 16 oz breve with 3 shots and paying almost $10 FOR COFFEE, because i have to direct the staff on the proper way to make it...only to be charged an unreasonable amount for extras that shouldn't be extras. My regular 16 oz triple shot breve at FloCo is $5.25. Im glad your staff situation has improved, but the rest leaves a lot...
   Read moreIn reference to store #14, I have been a loyal customer of city brew since 2015 when we moved our store next to their location on Brooks Street. I have enjoyed the associates and how consistently friendly they are. The past two days I have went through the drive through the customer service was less than desirable. On 2-19-25 I thought the person was just having an off day. However today 2-20-25 it was worse than yesterday. I was so disappointed with this drive through associates customer service I just had to look at her name badge. I couldn't believe it it was the Store her name is Rebecca. As a store manager I would expect that she of all people should have excellent customer service skills. She didn't ask if I was a rewards member or if I needed a receipt, nothing. I had to tell her I was a rewards member. She seemed annoyed when she had to look me up. I have been in the customer service industry as a General Manager for over 30 years and know what it means to treat your customers with excellence and respect, that is how we stay in business. They have me a free coffee for the first mistake, the second they denied that they made a mistake even though the label did not reflect the order. It was missing 3 shots of espresso, they added vanilla, and the third coffee we received today was received warm, and was not what we ordered, with no readable label to tell us where they went wrong. We've been City Brew fans for years, from Billings to Great Falls and have never had anything close to this experience đ I do not mind Starbucks, but I prefer City Brew, because I'm a Montanan, and I want Montana roasted coffee and to support my local coffee shop, but my wife can't even come this stuff down lol!
