In the Missoula store on 3/25/25, I encountered an incredibly discourteous sales associate in the gun department while attempting to purchase a 22 LR revolver as a gift for my daughter to address the varmint issue on our property. When I presented my ID for the federal background check, they informed me that I needed to be a resident of the state in which I was making the purchase. I was unaware of this requirement, but upon learning it, I had no issue with the policy. However, the associate's rude behavior was unacceptable. When I explained that I would bring my daughter, a state resident, to buy the firearm, the associate arrogantly declared that he would refuse to sell her the gun and even went as far as saying he wouldn't sell it to anyone for a week! My daughter is fully legally qualified to purchase a firearm. After this appalling treatment, I will never return to Cabela's for any...
Read moreUnprofessional and frankly not very smart. My eife bought a knife for me for $250 online and it was the wrong size. I went and bought another $200 knife and some other items. I decided to return the $200 knife a few days later as I had decided to do something else. One of the manager Nik argued that I was only due $127 refund as i had credits from the other knife return. That made 0 sense as i bought a knife for $200 so I should get a $200 return. Nik couldn't grasp that simple reality. Argued for 20 minutes and would not bring another manager for me to talk to and talked down to me the whole time because he couldn't grasp simple math. I left and contacted their support team. Of course the support team agreed with me that nik had no idea what he was talking about. The item is being returned for the full refund but I would never do business with Missoula...
Read moreI took my bow, and my wife's bow in to get set up. I needed to buy arrows, a bag target, a new rip cord arrow rest a bow case, etc. all in all I spent $400.00 dollars. The young guy who helped us was unfriendly and rather short with us. He would not adjust the timing on our bows, he would not paper tune our bows and even told us it was not necessary to do either those things after he just installed rests on both of our bows. He would not even let us shoot the bows to see where they were hitting. I left there scarred to shoot either of the bows. Now I have to take the bows to Sportsmans warehouse where I should have gone in the first place. Do not take in, or buy any archery supplies or equipment from Cabelas. Trully disappointing and scarey. I am really sorry I bothered them on a slow off season day when they had nothing else to do in the...
