Apologies for being the bearer of outrageous news. As you can see by my ordering history of years. I respond only when a plate of pasta isn't made to order. Let alone made correctly. What you can't see in the pic is that there is no sauce covering more than 2 noodles on both dishes in this order. The dish tasted like in came out of the dishwasher, as the noodles still had water inside and not sauce. You have no problem upchanging my card in the past over wording in Special Instructions ( I left the words BOTH DISHES, in the copy paste when I was ordering only 1 dish, did it without informing me in anyway. I found out by calling MacKenzie, and thinking I was given an extra order by mistake and needed to pay for the extra meal. Curious) But now you fail to follow Special Instructions. That for years has been on my order of Cajun Chicken Alfredo with extra veggies and sauce. This time, on an order of 2 dishes we receive next to no sauce, 1 breadstick for 2 dishes. I find it perplexing as to why there is a vast disconnect to when i order this dish. As i have stated before, i have been coming here for years, and it has been an ongoing issue with this site. As a person with high-risk health issues. I find it peculiar for getting rid of your curbside. It helps all of us disabled people enjoy your take out food. So empathic of owners and personal. This seems to be more than a local issue that I have noticed. But they seem to do better outside of Montana. I do hope that by leaving this review, some things will change for the better due to the fact that I have liked the food and the quality when it was an honest price. Thank you....
Read moreUpdate on Pizzagate: I was contacted by the folks at the Southside MacKenzie River. They were very sorry and offered me a complete refund for the order! When I went to pick it up, they also gave me a $40 Gift Certificate. Very classy way to show their chagrin at my treatment by their employees. I also got a very nice apology letter. Thanks so much! I've changed my rating of this business due to their prompt response to my situation.
On Friday, September 16th I ordered a half and half specialty pizza from this MacKenzie River Pizza location through Door Dash. When I ordered the pizza, it stated that I would be charged for the more expensive of the two halves. Instead I was charged for two pizzas. I called the store the following Tuesday (September 20th) and spoke to the manager. He said I'd be refunded for the amount I was overcharged. I waited for over a week and did not see a refund on my bank account. I called again on September 29th. The manager assured me again that I would be reimbursed. He said that I'd see the refund within 24 hours. It is now October 2nd and still no refund. It is incredibly shoddy public service as well as down right dishonest to refuse to refund me for an item I did not order. Read moreI used to enjoy MacKenzie River but sadly I don’t think I’ll go back. We have had 3 bad experiences in a row. Tonight our server had been cut for the night at 7:30 on a Friday and we were her last table. We watched her do all of her side work and chat it up with friends, all while completely ignoring us and or ever offering a refill on a drink or asking if we needed anything. Also, she didn’t help anyone else, just went about doing her side work while the other servers ran around because they had a rush of tables at 7:30 on a Friday! (Sort of expected time to be busy)
I’ll put some blame on the server, but I used to manage a restaurant and most of the blame goes to the management of this branch. Why would you be cutting staff so early? Why wouldn’t there be some oversight to ask a person to keep up on their tables and helping the team even after being cut for the night?
This is not an isolated issue with this location, as I said before, this is our third straight poor experience. Food quality issues the first time and service issues the last two. And I’m not accepting “it’s hard to find help” since they made the management decision to cut staff, not that they are just under staffed because of hiring issues.
