Where to begin where to begin... I've been thru the drive-thru a couple of times and the food was fine, to be honest, I've always been pretty impressed with the food, BUT today, oh today the STAFF was far far far from impressive (food couldn't even be finished because of sanitary concerns). Let me note that I ate today, Sunday June 2 at 2:00pm, hopefully management can track those who were working this shift. My small family and I decided to eat in the restaurant and lord was that a bad ideal. We walk in, okay, it seems okay, the woman working up front was friendly. It all took a turn for the worst after we ordered our food and waited. As soon as we walked from the counter we went straight to the drink station, where my cup was greeted by a big ol' flying creature chilling on the coke nozzle (it was literally just feeding on the soda coming out of the machine). I shook it off, dumped it out and continued to get a different drink. I didn't want to cause a scene and I mean I understand accidents happen. Well well well, then we proceed to find a seat when my child pointed on the biggest freaking cockroach I have seen in Texas, I mean this thing was at least 2 inches long, directly under the table (surrounded by food). At this point I am still keeping my cool, but feeling pretty grossed out at this point. While the cooks were preparing our food, I had plenty of time to observe the cleanliness of the restaurant and let me say, I was not impressed at all. The salad bar was filthy, the drink station was filthy, the floors were filthy, the tables were filthy. There is no way, NO WAY all the salad fixings weren't contaminated. .. The tortilla dough was literally just sitting out, at least 4 sheets of dough next to the register. I'm not sure if that's what yall usually do, but I mean that is plenty of time for one of those roaches to crawl right over the dough to have a snack... nasty just nasty. Not to mention it was warm in the building so who even knows how quickly bacteria can start to grow on all that dough. ..on top of that I witnessed one of the male cooks literally take the chip container he was preparing for a guest and use it to fan his sweaty face off..he then proceeded to wipe his sweatt face with the back of his gloved hand... of course after doing this he put the food into the container. .. let me mentioned he only had one glove on during all of this. Yuck. The problem with what happened today is the staff who was working. They didn't care at all how the restaurant or themselves appeared. This makes me NEVER ever want to eat here again... I mean i know its fast food, but like yiu can still have pride in your job and company and not be gross... i mean tell me why the young woman up front was playing on her cell phone in plain sight while there's live COCKROACHS on the floor and dirty tables???? Why did all the cooks feel the need to touch as many surfaces as possible while cooking????? Why so many bugs??? If there was a manager working today at 2PM then you, and some of your crew need to be fired! (Not everyone working was bad, just a few). Needless to say, after havin a bit of our food, most of it went to the trash.. we were too scared and grossed out to finish it... Yall have an A your front door but after today I have a hard believing...
Read moreTaco Cabana is incredibly well intentioned. In my opinion, Taco Cabana is a hard pass as my experience at different locations, at different times, months apart, left me not wanting the food from Taco Cabana ever again. At Taco Cabana, it seems the food is warmed up when you order it. This is different from being prepared fresh when you order it. The steak fajita burrito I ordered had iceberg lettuce, and some sauce that I can only describe as mayonnaise and thousand island mixed together left me aggravated as I threw it in the garbage. There was nothing fajita about that burrito. I tried the chicken tortilla soup. Also, well intentioned. The chicken was okay, taste wise, because the chicken didn't taste old or spoiled, but it wasn't delicious. It was okay. The broth was too thick and tasted like tomato sauce. The flautas and nachos were not that good either. The nacho cheese was good, but the flautas tasted oily and not very fresh. The soda tasted like cleaner and although it was gross I could tell the soda box needed to be changed. The dining room was empty. The furniture was dirty and lopsided. The salsa was empty and not fresh. The whole place was just in disarray. I didn't see any pests but I'm sure they were there. Ultimately, I know that nowhere is perfect but Taco Cabana is a place to skip. From the tortillas, to the beans, to the rice, to everything else. It...
Read moreThis has to be the absolute worst location there is. I visited this location last night and it seems that the three employees that were on the clock were just playing around and not taking "handling people's food seriously" -- First the guy that took my order kept messing up my order even after explaining to him over and over what I wanted. The young female that was on shift I remember her all too well because she messed up my order once before I told her that I'm vegetarian, and she still put MEAT in my food; I didn't notice until after I ate a piece. She was very rude and was very unsanitary; why would this young lady continue to use the same gloves for everyone's order including touching the computer screen with those same gloves, and proceeding to make my, and others food. The other teen on duty just kept laughing, and didn't seem to know what he was doing either. The food was COLD, and half put together... personally the whole night shift needs to be retrained. --- The boy that took my wife's, and I order shoved items into my hand, was rude, and was trying to overcharge us for items that were owed to our order in the first place. Again the worst location... I left a review in the past, but I wasn't allowed to update the review. They now went from a two...
