Okay. I remember when the filet a fish hung over the bun and was not microwaved. Putting all that aside, I just had a horrible experience at Randalls and was trying to meet my intermittent fasting dietary deadline. I pulled into Micky Ds and was put on hold. Ugh...hello, haven't you heard of fast food drive-thru? It's supposed to be FAST FOOD.
So, I pulled around and went into the restaurant. Ugh. The girl at the cash register had on Crocs, leggings, and a bellybutton shirt. So, McDonald's is now McLoveInTheClub? Are we trying to pull dates now? Anyway, she appeared to have the aptitude of her outfit. STOP!!! That's someone's child.
Okay. I won't complain because the older lady ahead of me ordered an ice cream cone. Ugh... again. So, the worker who microwaves the filet of fish had to come from the back to show belly-button-girl how to SWIRL the ice cream onto the cone. Even she was perplexed to the fact that she didn't know how to SWIRL the ice cream. Get this. Bellybutton girl's response was, "Well. It didn't work for me." With a smirk on her face, the filet-of-fish girl went back to the back to continue her job. Thank you, filet-of-fish girl, because that's what I'm waiting for.
So, the manager, security guard, or whoever he was, comes back from wherever he was and asked, "What is she waiting on?" SHE=ME. Bellybutton-shirt-girl told him that I was waiting on my filet combo order.
He miraculously put me to the front of the line. Zappo! I'm headed back home to complete the 45-minute drive back home. Yuk! The top bun is over microwaved, so it's freaking gummy. The filet is luke warm, but the fries are great. Yah! That's my favorite part of the meal.
Nothing is like it used to be. Oh well. End of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointing! I had a craving for a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. I drove about 3 blocks, only to discover that the Lamp & Lantern location had closed permanently less than a week before. I used my handy (not!) McD app and looked up locations, only to find out that the next closest location is this Weidman road location. I drive the 2.5 miles there (already annoyed) and place my order. Two sandwiches, and the total was almost (within a quarter) $7.00! $3.50 each, for a sandwich that consists of a $1 sausage biscuit, an egg, and a piece of cheese. I'm pretty sure if I had ordered those items a-la-cartĆØ, it would have been exceedingly less expensive. So what is the rest of that charge, anyway? The cost of placing all those items on one sandwich, and then wrapping it all together rather than individually, thereby SAVING the company money! Are we sheep? Do you all think we don't pay attention to those things? It is bad enough, prices rising (while fuel continues to cost less & less) in fast food restaurants for no discernable reason, other that the recent (unmet) demand from workers for $15.00 per hour. But quality continues to be shoddy, at best. The guy operating the cash register, while handing $13.00 in singles to me as change, repeated my order back (incorrectly), seemed to be the choke point in the whole operation, as he seemed to be taking an inordinate amount of time do do this for each customer. Also, I did not get a receipt. While the food today was good and hot and properly put together, this is the exception, rather than the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I had an order with 8 food items and 2 drinks. He asked for two of the items to be no lettuce, extra mayo, but the girl only rang one up that way. We tried to get her attention to correct it. We were not trying to call her out or be hateful, we just wanted the item corrected. She proceeded to say we ordered it that way, and she had other people who heard it too (mind you there were 5 of us in the car that heard how it was ordered). Regardless of who was at fault, we never once tried to place blame, we just wanted it corrected. What customer service team member just argues instead of simply making it right? It was a simple misunderstanding, and it just needed corrected. She came at us out of nowhere after we tried for almost a minute to get her back on the speaker! The manager came over the speaker talking over her to just correct the item, but never once did we get an apology or anything for the blatant disrespect and...
