I had a horrible experience. The manager was extremely rude. I wrote to corporate to complain 2 months ago but I have not heard back from them so I thought I’d post here. Back in October I ordered 3 grilled chicken tacos and 3 soft del tacos from the drive-through. When the cashier handed me my bag I checked it and saw that he gave me 3 crunchy beef tacos by mistake. I handed him the bag back and told him that I ordered soft tacos. He took the bag to the back of the store and came back and handed it back to me and told me that I didn’t say “soft” when I ordered them so he couldn’t exchange them. I told him that I recently had dental work done and I couldn’t eat crunchy tacos so I was very specific when I ordered them and for a fact, I did ask for soft tacos. He then asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. I said yes and she came and told me that she was not going to exchange them because I didn’t order soft. At that point I was about to just ask for my money back so I could go order from a different location but before I could say that she told me, “I’m going to do it this time but next time you come make sure you say it right.” I wrote to corporate because I wanted them to know that I felt extremely disrespected and I wanted them to have a talk with the staff at that location about how they should be talking to customers. I realize that some people may try to pull scams to get free food but that was not what I was trying to do and I don’t appreciate being talked to in that manner. Never once did she entertain the idea that the cashier misheard me or pushed the wrong button when taking my order. I drove away feeling very humiliated and disrespected and I hope the manager is reprimanded and told not to speak to customers...
Read moreI have NEVER had any issues with Del Taco in 35 years until last week. Last week I ordered several items. One being the new tostada. Looked amazing! Everything was going good, I ordered my food thru the drive thru and got my bag and left. As I'm driving down Oakdale road I had grabbed the tosdada to eat while at a red light. I grabbed the box out of the bag, opened it, and started to eat it. About 4 bites in I seen something moving! Yes, moving. My eyes were immediately drawn to what was a moving bug who's legs looked to be stuck in the tomato on my tosdada!!! I literally FREAKED out!! I was just staring at this bug while it was moving around in disbelief. I immediately snapped a few photos as well as a video. I put the remaining tosdada back in the box, shut it, threw it in the bag and called the manager immediately! Needless to say the manager didn't believe me when I told her to check her tomatoes. She told me she'sbeen serving food all morning and seen no bugs. Well, this bug was in an enclosed box so it didn't come from my vehicle is what I told her. My AC was on low, no windows were even open in my truck so they're was no way this bug came in. Maybe it came from the cardboard box , the food box, I don't no, but it was in the box when being served to me! She didn't take it seriously therefore I have called corporate and reported her and the damn bug!!! I will NEVER come back here after this!!! Also, they NEVER have me a reciept. Read moreGrow up going to this location but never had a issue till today. I am 8 months pregnant and we thru the drive thru with my mom. I was thirsty so I order a lemonade and a water. The cashier put two lemonades down. So when we corrected her at the window she said “oh my god” very rudely so we (the customers) could hear. As a past customer service worker in fast food it isn’t hard to fix a small issue so I didn’t know why she was so upset but that’s another story.
she than handed us a two receipts after fixing the issue. One of which said they charged us for two lemonades. We were confused so we decided to go up to the door and just confirm everything was done correctly.
She happened to be the one who opened the door. Without saying anything to her, she said “so you’re upset I charged you for the two small waters” (I ordered a large water and already assumed maybe that’s just how they put it in the system but regardless she should have told us at the window).
Anywho my mom said no, she was just wondering about why one of the receipts said she was charged for two lemonades. The employee told her that she didn’t charge her for two ( cool!) and that that receipt was just the original input of the system and if we didn’t believe her to check our bank account…. Than closed the door.
We were just trying to have a fun day out together and we were in good moods. As well as understanding that mistakes happen but we’re sad and disappointed that the employee was so rude. :/ we weren’t even cranky, just confused and wanting to double check...
