Best pho in Modesto, hands down. Large portion size, clean restaurant, friendly staff (albeit new and a little busy), fair cost, great location, flavorful beef, and truly delicious, authentic pho that satisfies every craving.

We've been waiting for months to try The Pho ever since we heard it was going in, and we hoped it was authentic. I've been on the hunt for a good, strong pho around here, and I can confirm that this is it!

Hubs and I dined in on opening day and both got the #1 pho combination soup (for free as a promotion for their soft opening!). We waited over an hour in line outside, and it was worth it. The broth is perfectly flavored. The thin-sliced beef was pink when it was delivered to our table, which was a great sign of freshness (cooked just then by the heat of your broth instead of pre-cooked).

It came with the traditional toppings on the side: Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime, jalapenos, and an herb we hadn't seen at other pho places that was pretty good. Hubs says the jalapenos are very good and quite strong (and he likes Thai spicy). For new pho fans: There were some larger pieces of cartilage in the soup (you can pick out if you aren't big on the texture).

We tried to get Thai teas too, but they only had Vietnamese coffee available for the first day. Fine by us, just means we have to come back soon. ;)

Looked like take-out was pretty organized as well.

Thank you so much for a delicious lunch. We hope this place is around for...

I recently dined at The Pho Vietnamese restaurant and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on my experience. While the wait staff was great and provided excellent service, the food left a lot to be desired. The broth in the dishes was under-seasoned and watery, lacking the depth and complexity of flavors that are expected from Vietnamese cuisine. The spring roll wrappers were very dry and made the rolls difficult to eat.

However, my biggest issue with the restaurant was the behavior of the chef. Throughout my meal, I could hear him yelling in the kitchen, which was not only disruptive but also showed a lack of professionalism. It's clear that he has a poor attitude and was treating the staff in a Indiscreet manner. This behavior is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the restaurant.

I also have to say that as someone who recently returned from a month in Vietnam, the poor quality of the food at this restaurant does a disservice to the culture and cuisine of Vietnam. The chef's attitude and lack of skill in the kitchen do not represent the richness and diversity of Vietnamese food.

In summary, while the wait staff provided excellent service, the poor quality of the food and the chef's inappropriate behavior make it impossible for me to recommend this restaurant. I would urge the management to take immediate action and reprimand the chef for his unprofessional behavior and lack of...

I would absolutely leave a 0 if I could! I hope everyone sees this review and doesn't visit this location it was the most HORRIBLE experience I have ever had. First off I arrived to be waiting at the door to not be greeted I had to flag someone down to ask if it was self seating or if I had to wait at the sign by the door. I was then seated had a waiter come to take my order how am I supposed to order without a menu??I asked a question about the menu the waiter didn't know what came on the item I was asking about. We just did something easy a total of 4 phos waited a hour for them to bring 1 pho figured the rest would come rite out. Waited about 15mins to have to flag down the waiter he didn't bring no silverware garnishes for the pho, um excuse me how am I supposed to eat this!!Everyone around us was getting served entree dinners and these people came way after us I flagged down another waiter to see what was going on with my other phos I've been waiting literally a hour and a half and got I'm sorry I will go check! 15mins passed by I see them coming out of the kitchen with other orders I about had it I had two small children who were hungry I went to the counter and asked the waiter who I had previously asked about my order and she looked in the kitchen doors and they're was nothing I WALKED OUT. Anyone traveling or wanting to try some place new DO...

Total disappointment today compared to previous visits. WILL NOT BE BACK! Im not really "Pho" person, as it's just a giant bowl of hot soup. I have in the past order the "Vermicelli Bowl" with chicken here. I ordered today and asked for the chicken & not beef since I don't really eat red meat. Apparently that is no longer an option as I was told, "we don't have an option"? Was shown another dish with chicken.... I don't want a big thigh & leg on a bone... Then I said, I'll just get the Vietnamese Iced coffee and that would be all.... I should have just went to Starbucks and got a Venti drink. This drink was $7... NOT worth that much...

**Amazing** Best Pho In Town!! Went in on their soft opening and was greeted by a long line to get inside. Waited about 30minutes and once inside we were sat and our orders were taken quickly. The Pho was absolutely amazing, everything tasted incredibly fresh!! Not to mention that when we went to pay they told us that the meal was free for the soft opening! Be patient when you go in as they are still training their staff and getting the restaurant on its feet!! Absolutely love this new addition to Modesto!! Can’t wait to go back!!
