Deli Delicious #36 - McHenry — Restaurant in Modesto

I was in today, looks like they have a new team and unfortunately they just don't work well together. That or the Individual that was there from the main district office was really messing up the whole team I placed an order of beer batter fries.Waited 15min still no fries.

After 15 min, I started getting anxious as numerous ppl came in to complain or ask about orders. 1 person got a full refund and a pass for 2 free sandwiches with all kinds of sympathy. Another person got free cookies plus the order fixed everyone got sympathy and a freebie.

I actually walked out after 20 min wait and asking for my order and being told that they weren't aware of my order since the individual who took my order was outside just so happened he comes in right at that time so the lady from what she called the district office worker yelled at him. Then she said I'll have it ready shortly I was just not aware.

I go back 10 min later at this point the place is empty. The cashier is on his lunch eating, and the lady at this point is too busy talking to a potential candidate to work for the establishment I had to wait another 10 min for her convo to end.

When reviewing my order after waiting 40min. I got cold fries and I was missing a sauce when telling the district worker she said she can toss them back in the fryer I said no thank you asked for the sauce and then a drink she then proceeded to charge me for the drink I then said I thought I would get it on the house she said i only give ppl i mess up the order a freebie, and that was not the case for me. As far as the place itself goes, it looked nice. Clean. It felt like the air wasn't on because the place was very warm inside but the bathroom was very cool. The prices are very high in my opinion. Not worth it. I tried the bbq tri tip and provolone and it was salty. The curly fries were very salty. Couldn't finish them. Also I got charged for ranch twice because we had 2 orders of fries. Yes it was only $.50 cents each but I complained and got my money back because I was not asked if I wanted the ranch. Even the girl behind the counter told me it automatically gets added on with an order of fries. THAT SHOULD AT LEAST BE MENTIONED TO THE CUSTOMER! The sandwiches would be better toasted because they only warm the meat up and the bread could of at least been warmed or toasted somehow. Tastes better to me at least. 3 footlong sandwiches and 2 large curly fries was $51. Won't be going back sadly. Overcharged, too hot in the restaurant to be comfortable, food was salty. Try for...

Worse costumer service in town. I showed up 20 min before they closed and the door was locked with the employees inside. As soon I parked, the employee that was moping at the front walked to the back of the kitchen and did not acknowledge me at the door. I tried calling ahead 30 min to place an order and the employees picked up the phone, I could hear them talking and then hung up. This is the second time this has happened. I liked Deli Delicious sandwiches but the employees that close are terrible. Both instances occured when I was trying to buy food during my lunch from work. Since they lock the business early before closing hours and don't answer the phone 30 min before closing, I wasn't able to get any food. Absolutely terrible...
