Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Modesto

I'd like to start off by saying that I am writing this review as the guest of a birthday party, not even the host, that says a lot. While I have no complaints about the food, or the cleanliness of the establishment, I was absolutely floored at the level of unprofessionalism I witnessed this evening. The child's party I attended obviously had other children as guests. The host provided pizza for everyone, but drinks were not included. Staff provided water cups, while most people opted to buy a drink if they wanted. There were a few children who got fountain drinks in the water cups, and while I understand that shouldn't have happened, the reaction and demeanor the rest of the night was nothing sheer of embarrassing. I went to the register to purchase drinks for my son and myself, and mentioned I was with the large party. The cashier was already mid conversation with another employee, talking badly about the party host, stating she was needy, that kids are getting drinks in water cups, and so forth, in front of me while I was waiting to be helped. This continued on the duration of our stay, at least 3 other guests could hear them talking about the host throughout the night, and even brought her the trash can at the end to clean up the room, which is not her responsibility, as she paid plenty to use the party room. As I stated, not even being the paying party in the situation, witnessing this was extremely uncomfortable and rude. I would never consider hosting an event here, or even returning as a regular guest...

I came for some nice family fun and I bought the salad bar and the pizza. I went to the salad bar for some salad and when I went to go eat and enjoy it, I noticed the cucumber tasted funny. I thought okay one small thing so I put it to the side and ate the pineapple next and it was also bad. I went to the front to let them know that the pineapple and cucumber had gone bad and they said it was fine. When I asked them to taste it to check if it was bad they said they did not like pineapple., the second person said they could not eat pineapple, and the third person said they did not like pineapple. Too much of a coincidence. So I asked them to taste the cucumber and all three people said they don't like cucumber(I wonder why). Finally they called the manager and the manager tasted the pineapple and said that it had gone bad. But the thing is they did not get it out of the salad bar until an hour had already passed. From best to worst in a short time. My wife has always loved RT, so we did not mind paying more for the quality and service. In the past six months though, both have taken a dive. Every order for our family is over $100 and this place consistently gets it wrong. Several times they either forget full items, sauces, or in one case, forgot to start one of our pizzas (I called to see why they were 30 minutes late, and they had forgotten to put a pie in). Another time they sent a Door Dash driver, and our food was lukewarm. The last (and final time) we ordered, they used green dough for our pizza and cinnamon twists; I worked at Domino's many years ago, so I know under-fermented crust. When I called the manager, he offered me 20% off my next order! Rather than explain that is a poor response to their repeated mistakes, I just decided never to return.
