My Taco House — Restaurant in Modesto

There wasn't anything else for me to do in Modesto, so I figured I'd hit up a Taqueria, and snag a burrito. In a town like Modesto...I'd think there are probably 2 Taquerias for every 5 people, so it shouldn't be hard to find one. So when I spotted the home depot, and asked a group of locals where's the best Taqueria in town...Man-O-Man did that start a fight. They were yelling go here, go there then they started throwing punches! Pretty soon the cops show up, and everyone disappeared as fast as a bullet. When the cops asked me what happened...All I asked was where's the best Taqueria in town. Then the cops started arguing between themselves, and they've got guns! So...I left Lickity Split, and found the My Taco House Taqueria all on my own. And, let me tell you 2 things...1- Don't ever ask where's the best Taqueria in Modesto, and 2- If you're lucky enough to be on Modesto, and you're hungry...stop at My Taco House, because in my opinion it's the best Taqueria in Modesto!...

This past Wednesday while wandering in any direction to find food we stumbled upon My Taco House . (and that's not a euphemism)

We scanned the menu and decided on the 3 quesabirria combo and the 2 sopes special (one with chorizo and one al pastor) in addition to a quesadilla (not pictured).

The service was friendly, welcoming and professional. The food was cooked quickly and served VERY hot and fresh. The flavor and freshness of everything was perfectly executed. While we enjoyed our meal the employees toiled away making masa and fresh tortillas. It smelled AMAZING in there . Overall great experience. Though the outside isn't "giving" Once you step inside the food and service is top notch. 10/10 highly recommended,...

Food was bad Service was not very friendly, atmosphere was bleak, place not that clean, hardly no one there, he seemed overwhelmed about the register/menu/ordering/placing our order & receiving payment. He stressed as he tossed several menus for is to take them with is to get him referrals as he needed the business while we were paying. The order was not done as specified, I ordered horchata & he said no refills but he would give me one since we ordered a lot, when I went back for a refill after receiving very hot sauce on my taco he told me 3x more he fire not do free refills & I reminded him he said he would do he have me not even a half a glass ....
