Taqueria Modesto — Restaurant in Modesto

Many years ago I was so happy to hear that a new Taqueria was going to be opening close to where I live! I began going regularly and became friends with the owner. We began talking on phone everyday up until he revealed to me that he was married! Absolutely no class kinda guy.. I stopped going and changed my #. So recently I decided I would go back figuring that he wouldn't recognize me and he didn't. (: I ordered a burrito to go and I know that you are given 1 tiny container for salsa and more than that is 25 cents per container. I thought well if i were dining in I could put all the salsa I want so why not just open my burrito there and put what my heart desires. NOT!!! After I did that the owner approached me and said "Don't you ever come in here and do that!" I said do what? He replied open your burrito here and put salsa on it! I said so if I am dining in then I can put as much as I want but because its to go I can't have any salsa? He says people come in here and take more than they need. I understand that but I put it on my burrito not in containers to take home for extra, he continued to argue and I asked for a refund and could not believe he would treat a customer in that manner! All over a couple of spoonfuls of salsa! NEVER EVER AGAIN...

Initally had given this place a good rating due to friendly customer service but I take it back. Went in Monday since I had spotted this place when I was driving by. Decided to give them a try, went in and ordered myself "nacho fries" and a large horchata drink. My surprise I got some asada fries instead which I didnt think much of it since I was hungry. I ate half of the order and went on with my day. I had ordered the food around noon and when I got out from work around 4:30 I felt real weird, I started getting fever, got the chills, and got diarreah. You may think I may have gotten covid, but no I got tested Monday evening twice and Tuesday morning and all 3 test came back negative.

Its Wednesday now and since Monday I havent ate, I eat and my stomach rejects it and afterwards get one of the worst stomachache I had ever felt. Let me remind you I was perfectly fine before eating at this place and now got this going. Eat at...

The prices are every expensive for what they gave us which sucked. I ordered a freaking quesadilla and usllay that comes with beans and rice on the side already. But the lady said that the beans and rice go in the quesadilla and not on the side of the plate, that if i want beans and rice on the side and not in my quesadilla thats it was going to be 3.75 which was so werid and ridiculous. Plus everything cost is separate. The table service was also very bad they didn't even have napkins and hot sauces ECT. For the sauces they only allowed us to get four little cups of sauces. Then they did not havr air conditioning while I was suffering in there it was about 90 degrees inside. Overall I would not go to this place if you are looking for a good mexican restaurant to eat at this is...
