Deceptive business practices; will not be coming back. Is it worth it?

I have been coming here for two years, averaging at least once a week when I am in town. Today I ordered “the lunch special” combo I always get (enchilada and tamale) with a bottle coke and was told the total was over $16 as my card was being ran. I asked what did I order that the total should be that high? The girl at the counter then points to a small handwritten sign posted a bit higher than waist level that says “our prices are changing, sorry for the inconvenience”, although the handwritten prices on the overhead menu were unchanged (combo still said $8.50 and was now being charged $11 for it).

I explained that they probably shouldn’t be charging the “new” price until they actually change the displayed prices, as it plays into the customer’s decision to even place an order, and is an unethical practice, if not illegal. Everybody working there acted like there was nothing wrong with this, as if they wouldn’t ask any questions if the situation were reversed. 💸

I have been here before around 2pm. Today I got here at 1215pm. THEY CAN NOT HANDLE LUNCH RUSH AT ALL. I ordered a carne asada tostada combo. My tostada was broken into pieces. I took it back up. The man made a face at me. The same man that was very polite last time I was here . I received a soggy tostada next with barely any cheese on it. My food was cold i.couldn't even eat my rice and beans. The guy must of saw that i was UPSET came to my table I then told him that the food was cold. He didn't say a word and walked off. I also noticed a gentleman waiting for his food way before two tables were served including mine. I told them about his waiting. He received his to go food shortly after i told them. This place has NEW Owners!! Was here about a month ago for a Taco, Relleno, Rice and Beans. The Relleno had "Freezer Burn" taste. True sign that the food is not being rotated and is "OLD". Brought it to the waitresses attention and she said, "sorry". No replacement of any kind. Just OLD food and a sorry. Half a meal at Full price. We gave them anther try this weekend. Asada burrito was very dry and Cooked to Death. No flavor. Chili Verde was served in a clear broth. It was not even green. No where near the quality, flavor or experience of the previous chef. NO WAY I can recommend this restaurant. Unless major changes occur this place will NOT survive as they are out of...
