Update: I stopped for a decaf coffee on my way out of town today. What I got was definitely not decaf. I'm stuck at a store in a town more than an hour from my house and hours from my destination, waiting for the caffeine to wear off so I can drive again. Decaf means DECAF. I tried to give you my business again but self-preservation says I can't.
For people who can tolerate caffeine, this is a good and friendly place to stop.
We stopped for coffee and sandwiches on our way out of town. The young woman taking the order clearly wasn't paying attention. First ordered was a smoothie with whip cream. A full minute later she asked if we wanted whip cream on that. I asked for cinnamon in my mocha. It wasn't stirred but it was in there. My husband asked for a white chocolate mocha. It wasn't. We aren't even sure of the flavor. And the sandwiches. We ordered 2. One with ham and one with sausage. The sausage sandwich was handed out the window as well as the drinks. The young woman seemed puzzled when we didn't move and asked if there was something else. We said another sandwich. She said, "Oh, there were two." And made another sausage sandwich. Sigh. Which I don't think we were charged for. Distracted service costs the business money. Literally going out the window. Not to mention I probably won't be back for awhile even though it is the closest coffee kiosk. Service was so slow the person behind us left. Just some information to...
Read moreSometimes hit and miss, great people though. This used to be my favorite coffee drive through in town but the last few visits were misses. My last drink Saturday 9/8/17 was a 24oz iced blended peanut butter mocha and it tasted not of peanut butter but like ginger bread. It wasn't totally terrible but not at all what I was looking for. Normally I do an iced or blended Mocha but I was slightly convinced by my barista that the peanut butter would be delicous. When I asked for a refresher on their on hand milk substitutes I was told that it wasn't neccessary as it would be watered down if i got Almond milk mixed in... Now I've never been anyware ever, ever... suggest no milk or sub be added in, so that might have been something of the first clue I might have an issue here with my drink. As far as the ginger bread flavor I'm guessing one of their devices needed a better cleaning or rinsing prior to my drink. The reason why I am giving as high as three stars is that I used to go here close to everyday a few years ago, and I used to compared every other coffee I got in this State and others to Cowboy Coffee. Used to be awesome, my visits have slowly petered off m, but now the last few times ive been in there, I was just plain disappointed period. It is still better than standard drip though I guess if...
Read moreI'm not one of reviews but Google keeps asking me to do so I guess I will. I've been going to Cowboy Coffee since they opened and I really don't see how they're the best coffee place in town. They make a good infused Rockstar and have good ice cream but their coffee is terrible. Their coffee to flavor ratio is way off! Plus everytime I order a mocha I get a latte and then when I kindly tell the staff that it should be a mocha they get all offended like they couldn't possibly make a mistake. Its irritating because I'm not going to pay for a drink I won't drink and if I'd wanted a latte I would have ordered one. I've never been rude about it and always approch it with a kind attitude but they always seem offended when I do. I see all these positive reviews and maybe I just manage to hit them up on bad days. Like I said their ice cream is great and they make an excellent infused rockstar and the staff is great when I'm there for just that but I wouldn't go there...
